Comments about Antennacraft® 5MS921 Amplified HDTV Antenna:

I bought this antenna about 3 years ago. it works very well. I receve about 20 chanells.I have put it in alot of diffrent locations and in diffrent setups including outdoors on a pole.It works best mounted in the attic with the booster just under the antenna. Its a little flimsy on a pole ,and the wind affects it somewhat. The weather will affect the weeker signals at times, but overall its grate,This is way better than a monthly bill.

Comments about Antennacraft® 5MS921 Amplified HDTV Antenna:

Got this at a local Radio Shack (it was recommended by the manager). I'm about 25 miles from transmitters, in a wooded area, but on high ground. Was looking for a replacement attic-mount antenna, and didn't realize until I got it home that it has a power amplifier which needs to be plugged in. That's not workable in the attic space unless you happen to have a power outlet there - which I don't. I tried it out by connecting it directly to a Sony HDTV located upstairs, and the reception was very poor. Couldn't get a station that I'd been getting with an old standard antenna in the attic. It's going back.

Comments about Antennacraft® 5MS921 Amplified HDTV Antenna:

I tried this because it was local and in stock. Being within 7.8 miles of all major antenna towers I would have expected no problems with even a marginal antenna. I replace it with a 14 dollar indoor antenna in the attic and got better reception. The design engineers on this one should be ashamed of themselves.

Comments about Antennacraft® 5MS921 Amplified HDTV Antenna:

I live about 10 miles from Augusta, GA and I was able to pick up 20 local channels with this antenna by simply mounting it in the top of my attic.

The signal was very choppy and weak at first, but I connected a signal amplifier to it and went from 8 choppy channels to 20 strong channels.

                I used the radio shack 1-to-4 Bidirectional Cable-TV Amplifier (Model: 15-2506 Catalog #: 15-2506)

Comments about Antennacraft® 5MS921 Amplified HDTV Antenna:

I bought one in 2008 and used at West Windsor, NJ. I tried at 1ft floor, 2nd floor. and attic. 2nd floor is good enough but I installed it in attic. Just under the top of the roof. It should face due north. It picks up all stations from NYC and Phil. In total it has about 30 to 40 different channels, includin 63.x in foreign language (including 63.4 for US Sino in Mandarin). Since it was so good, I bought second one for someone at Toronto, Canada. At 27th floor, just put it on balacony on a piece of 1x1 feet stone block and facing CN tower. It was so great. You don't need cable at all unless you watch CNN or other channel you have to pay.
The power adapter could be near the antenna or TV.
