Comments about Antennacraft® MXU59 UHF Antenna: I installed it on my roof and ran cable in about 2 hours. Installation was a breeze. I ran coax from antenna to location where cable company did and simply connected. All 4 HD TVS in house are now running off the MXU59/Booster with incredible signal strength. Im totally amazed at the HD picture. On a clear night I recieve up to 31 digital HD channels. Do some research on location of transmitters to you. I found I had three to choose from all within 50 miles max. I would suggest getting a signal booster, well worth the money. I couldnt be happier and you will too..

Cons Best Uses Comments about Antennacraft® MXU59 UHF Antenna: Tried other antennas and was only getting a few channels from Maine and not getting wmur channel 9 from Manchester. Put up this antenna pointed it at the compass heading for the Boston Ma stations and I am getting all but channel 56. Including ch 9. For the price awesome antenna. Just check what frequencies the tv stations use as this one if for UHF. Antenna is on a 30 foot mast.

Cons Best Uses Comments about Antennacraft® MXU59 UHF Antenna: The MXU 59 Antenna is a Very good antenna it works way better then other antennas I have tried here in my locations I have on my roof three foot try pod 20 foot of pipe 1"1/4" in diameter 4 of the TV stations I get went from 50% signal strength to 100% picture quality has also improved with the MXU59 Antenna. I highly recommend the MXU 59 Antenna at least for my area here in Central PA

Comments about Antennacraft® MXU59 UHF Antenna: Use atleast RG9 with this antenna or RG11 if over 50ft. This is a very good antenna andvery strong for what it does cost. I have installed many of these over the years and never a problem. If it does not work it was from something YOU Did, not the antenna! Thanks for the read! WX9DX

Comments about Antennacraft® MXU59 UHF Antenna: This is a LARGE antenna. The advantage of a yagi over a multi-bay bowtie comes from its ability to reject multipath signals. Its made of aluminum so its relatively light, and its design makes wind loading fairly low. It has a 2nd set of wing nut terminals for a VHF pass-through in case you want to add a VHF antenna to get those 7-13 channels. If you are in an area where VHF broadcast signals are strong, you should do fine even though the MXU-59 is only rated for channels 14-69. Since it is highly directional, you will need a rotator unless all the stations you want are within a 15-20 degree radius of each other.

Comments about Antennacraft® MXU59 UHF Antenna: A cheaper (and much smaller) antenna from [...]at least brings in 4 channels. This thing does not work at all in my area of Milton TN, about 40 miles (by air) from Nashville. If you live in this area save yourself two trips to Radio Shack and pass on this product!

Comments about Antennacraft® MXU59 UHF Antenna: The MXU59 by Antennacraft is a very underrated antenna. This past week I did a comparison test between this antenna and the Antennacraft U8000 and Channel Master 4228 (pre HD model). Each was set up in the same location in the same manner at the same height. Much to my surprise the MXU59 easily outperformed the other two antennas in signal gain and multipath distortion. Out of the ten signals that I receive from Kansas City (all around 35 to 40 plus miles from my house) only Ch. 41 was a bit of a disappointment. While the signal strength is decent, the picture does tend to break up with the MXU59 while it is rock solid on the other two antennas. But aside from that the MXU59 is the better antenna. The other two antennas had weaker signal strength readings on every channel and multipath issues on at least a couple of different channels. They were only superior to the MXU59 on Ch. 41. Next, I'll be doing a roof top mount to see how this unit works when it has some height and a clearer path to the signal. Pros

Comments about Antennacraft® MXU59 UHF Antenna: This is a very excellent UHF antenna. Living in Chicopee mass I get most of my channels. Facing South: WFSB 3-1, 3-2, 3-3, 3-4. WUVN 18-1, 18-2, 18-3, 18-4. WTXX 20-1, 20-2. WWLP 22-1. WEDH 24-1, 24-2. WVIT 30-1, 30-2, 30-3, WTIC 61-1. South East: WHPX 26-1, 26-2, 26-3, Facing East: WUNI 27-1, 27-2, WGGB 40-1, 40-2, Faing all over WGBY 57-1, 57-2, 57-3, 57-4. My weak signals I couldn't get in but had a bad signal. Facing East: WGBH 2-1. WBZ 4-1. Facing North: WNNE 31-1. Facing Northwest: WCDC 19-1, 19-2, 19-3. Facing Southwest: WCTX 59-1. Facing SouthEast: WPXQ 69-1, 69-2, 69-3 Everything else was good in signal.Only problem was getting those weak channels in. I got a high gain amplifier and it works the same. I was wondering if I set it up right or something. It's a good price for the antenna though. So If anybody knows how to boost a signal and to get the right things for it this is the antenna for it. If anybody reads this Help me on how to get a better boost for my antenna at: Jimdoggg[@]. Other in that this is an excellent antenna to buy. Displaying reviews 1-10 Previous | Next » |
