Ordered on-line and it arrived quickly. Already had purchased the mast but when the antennae arrived found I needed the flat blades adapter to a coaxial line I wanted to use which caused another trip back to Radio Shack. Installation was easy to do. Reception was not good initially and found the unit (which is shaped like an arrow) needed to be turned 180 degrees (arrow going away from the signal not towards it as I thought). Once I did that it gets great signal strength and picks up all the local channels with no pausing or freezing. The TV towers are between 18 to 30 miles away from me. I wanted this to get away from cable companies and think this is going to work for me for the amount of tv viewing we do.

I live in Savannah,Georgia and I am a tv dxer. Even though we have a lot of local tv channels in Savannah I like to pull in far away tv channels.From Savannah with the MXU47 HD Antenna I receive hd tv channels from Jacksonville,FLA./Orlando,FLA/Agusta,GA./Charelston,SC/Columbia,SC./MyrtleBeach,SC./Florence<SC./and Wilmington,NC. and on anolog Vidalia,GA. and Atlanta,GA. Every Thing is 100% Great about this antenna. I allso have it on a rotor along with a radio shack hd digitol anplifier. My antenna is up about 70 feet up in the air and planning to put in up about 20 more feet in the air.

Make sure to get the Radio Shack antenna transformer also, the department store transformers are not so good. I used 25 ft coax to reduce signal loss. In Naples Florida I am getting over 10 channels.

My son and I installed this antenna. Installing was easy. I am very pleased with reception from three digital transmitters about 30 miles away. They are rated blue but this antenna pulls them in without any amp. This is a great buy for the money

Purchased the Antennacraft® MXU47 UHF Antenna 4 months ago to replace a very old tiny UHF antenna. I thought I would see a great improvement. I was wrong. I can't account for the reason that this antenna wasn't any better in pulling in NYC stations in Western Suffolk, (East Islip). I did nothing other then to replace one antenna with the other. I used an antenna amplifier with both antenna but the results were no better then my old tiny UHF antenna. My belief is that I would rather have a small antenna up as high as possilbe than a larger antenna at even a few feet lower. Height is everything in UHF reception. I will find a smaller antenna and erect it as high as possible.
