Comments about Antennacraft HBU22 High-VHF/UHF Antenna:

Quite easy to install and set up, I have had antennas before, the area is quite flat around Tampa so the signal strength is strong, about 50 Chanel's too. HD picture quality easily rivals the best of cable, and it's free.

I live in Lehigh,FL and put this in the attic and ran RG6, pointed to the tower locations and rescanned the tv for signal and presto 21 channels. Cut the cable!! Could not get Wink with the more expensive indoor amplified Antenna's. No more get up and adjust the ears if I change the channel.

Comments about Antennacraft HBU22 High-VHF/UHF Antenna:

I bought this HBU22 to get consistently good HDTV reception from the local antenna farm in the District of Columbia about 5 miles away. I was surprised to not only get a strong signal from DC, but also from Baltimore, 32 miles away and from two other channels 180 degrees from the antenna farm!

Comments about Antennacraft HBU22 High-VHF/UHF Antenna:

This is mounted on the roof in a normal mid size city. The broadcast antennas are anywhere from 6-30 miles away. This antenna is affected during poor weather. This is mostly true only of the stations with a smaller budget/weaker broadcast signal such as PBS. Otherwise, no big problems with it. It's not a big deal for me to lose signal at times (weather/wind), but if it is for you I would probably get a better model.

Comments about Antennacraft HBU22 High-VHF/UHF Antenna:

I could not believe that this thing is fully put together and all you had to do was pull it out of the box, and connect two screws.

I mounted this in the attic by having it point vertical. For attic mounts, Do not go crazy with trying to have it point the direction of the tv stations.

Mounted the unit in my attic to receive over-the-air broadcasts. It works great! Size is smaller since the lower VHF band isn't needed. Saves space and made the installation easier. I am 35-40 miles from the towers. No problem with signal. I went to anntennaweb.org to get the direction to aim. Could not have been easier.
