Comments about Antennacraft® HBU22 High-VHF/UHF Antenna: I searched high and low for this antenna based upon the reviews. Finally found it in a little, small-town shop. This thing works great! Get this antenna....now!

Comments about Antennacraft® HBU22 High-VHF/UHF Antenna: Am 30 miles north of Houston with tall pines all around. Most transmitters are approximately 40 miles away. After installing in my 2-story attic without fine tuning am picking up 79 channels!!! I had no idea there were this many channels, so apparently am picking up many from other cities which is a huge bonus! Am very impressed with the HBU-22, a great price, and easy to work with!!

Comments about Antennacraft® HBU22 High-VHF/UHF Antenna: After trying many other larger much more expensive antennas with bad results I tried this one, and as stated in all reviews it worked great I am near Spring Grove IL. I now get all available Chicago Channels including 2-1CBS I also get Channels from Milwaukee and Madison Wi. perfectly (55 channels).

Comments about Antennacraft® HBU22 High-VHF/UHF Antenna: As another reviewer states, Central Florida has one problem station: the NBC affiliate WESH on RF channel 11. I've lived in a few different locations around the area and every time I've had trouble pulling in WESH. Eventually I found an antenna that worked in that area.

Comments about Antennacraft® HBU22 High-VHF/UHF Antenna: HDTV in Orlando has to deal with one major channel not on UHF - NBC affiliate WESH on high VHF channel 11 - some 37 miles away. None of the compact pre-amplified small 'HDTV' antennas handle this. I had a Philips small HDTV antenna on the roof, but WESH was weak during the day and non-existent at night. Replaced with this HBU22 very low on the roof (about 15 ft above ground), running through 60-80 ft of quad shield RG6 co-ax, NO amplifier, and now getting WESH on VHF at a consistent almost 100% signal night and day, and all the UHF channels at full strength too. In fact, it's also bringing in all the other channels in the region that are not in the antenna direction, including WTMO at a steady usable 60% signal strength even though it is 70 degrees off the beam direction and 15 miles away.

Comments about Antennacraft® HBU22 High-VHF/UHF Antenna: This antenna was a good improvement over our home made gray hoverman antenna. Reception is better, we picked up channels in Houston that we have never seen before. Attic installation was simple with the recommended mast hanging from a rafter, directions were a little vauge but got it figured out. Reception is great with a few exceptions, which I am sure is 1) distance from station and 2) attic installation is not as signal friendly as outdoor install. Great improvement over previous antenna, I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

Comments about Antennacraft® HBU22 High-VHF/UHF Antenna: I;ve been meaning to set up0 an antenna since I live 40 miles away from the antenna farm in Houston, TX. The VHF and even the UHF KPRC (embedded to still be ch 2) did not come in strong enough after the switch to digital. I mounted this in the attic and get every station- even College Station KBTX. Signal strength more than doubled for nearly every station. KTRK went from no measurable signal to a 91- and againthe antenna is mounted in the attic. The HBU 22 is made in the USA and is nearly fully assembled. You will need to attach the u bolt and the rf coax. Best of all the HD channels are coming in at appox. 10-12 mbs as opposed to cable which is 3-4 mbs. The grass on the field doesn;t look funky anymore nor does the confetti drop at the superbowl...

Comments about Antennacraft® HBU22 High-VHF/UHF Antenna: I'll start by mentioning that I'm an Extra Class amateur radio operator, so not a complete stranger to antenna fundamentals. This is a great product. We're located on the western edge of the Kansas City metro area, so the closest local stations are 15 - 20 mi. away.

Comments about Antennacraft® HBU22 High-VHF/UHF Antenna: Make sure you read all the instructions and goto dtv.gov for info to setup. I found that this antenna worked only after I changed the TV setting from cable to antenna, then using the signal strength setting to fine tune the right direction to point the antenna.I'm 50 miles out and this antenna works great.
