Comments about Antennacraft® HD850 Heavy-Duty VHF/UHF/FM Antenna: Works okay at 30 miles from the tv Broadcast towers. 4 stations at around 40 miles, it just wont pick up. I think it is a little over priced for the performance and quality of construction. It was dificult to handle during install to keep brackets and elements from bending. I had to keep straightening them and after I got it up, I looked up and still some were not straight. Thin flimsy aluminum. I rate it as better than the smaller antennas and acceptable for use in areas of moderate climates without heavey icing, snow, or high winds.

Comments about Antennacraft® HD850 Heavy-Duty VHF/UHF/FM Antenna: The antenna, along with a coaxial cable to replace our old flat antenna wire, certainly seems to be doing its job. The antenna is on a roof, equivalent to 3 stories up. The only comparison I can make is to a new indoor antenna which I borrowed, which yielded no reception. However, the designation of the antenna as "heavy duty" seems to be just a p.r. job. The antenna is made from the same soft alumninum as other tv antennas I've seen, but hopefully has a protective coating sprayed on it. [$] Only time and months of exposure to the elements will tell if this was a fair price. Pros

Comments about Antennacraft® HD850 Heavy-Duty VHF/UHF/FM Antenna: I live in a rural valley 35 miles away from transmission towers in NY & NJ. It pulled signals but reception was poor with interferences. I am sure it would work well in more open terrain, and on the roof top of a 2/3 story building. It is better than the ones I tried earlier but did not serve well. Displaying reviews 1-5 |
