Comments about RadioShack® Amplified Outdoor HDTV Antenna: THIS ANTENNA WORKED BETTER THAN A VERY LARGE ANTENNA I HAD, I USED A ROTOR FOR THAT ONE, I LIVE NEAR HARRISBURG, PA (ENOLA). iT RECEIEVES ALL MY LOCAL STATIONS UP TO ABOUT 50 MILES. GET IT AS HIGH AS POSSIBLE FOR IT TO WORK THE BEST.

Comments about RadioShack® Amplified Outdoor HDTV Antenna: I could not wait any longer for the cable TV company to book my appointment so I took a chance on this. I mounted it at least 30 feet off the ground and pointed it North. It picked up all the channels on antennaweb.org marked yellow, red and blue. I got clear reception from 30 miles away.

Comments about RadioShack® Amplified Outdoor HDTV Antenna: We pulled the plug on cable and installed this antenna outside on our deck rail. Attached to the cable input to our home and all 6 TV's get all local channels with great reception. My old cable system has an amplifier splitter in the basement feeding all TV's. I used this amplifier but also needed the power injector for the external antenna.

Comments about RadioShack® Amplified Outdoor HDTV Antenna: We had and indoor antenna, but we couldn't get PBS. We put this on the roof and we can now get everything. I actually attached the antenna to the mount for our old satellite dish and used their cables to run the signal into the house. I'm not sure how long the antenna will last outdoors, but I'm happy so far.
Pros Cons
Best Uses Comments about RadioShack® Amplified Outdoor HDTV Antenna: I am so frustrated with this product. It skips and the picture is sometimes fuzzy sometimes clear. Moving it doesn't seem to helps. I have it mounted inside. Walking around the house causes it to lose reception. Just aweful!
Pros Cons
Best Uses Comments about RadioShack® Amplified Outdoor HDTV Antenna: I should have the package better,it is not made for the outdoor weather, at first it was good reception fro the first hour, once any element had hit it wind rain, and cold, it is not made for the out side weather,

Comments about RadioShack® Amplified Outdoor HDTV Antenna: I have used this antenna for abount a week. No problems. The antenna is mounted 10 feet off the ground on my roof trim. All my stations are less than 30 miles away and all in the same direction on flat ground in FL. I receive 20 channels, including all major networks.

Comments about RadioShack® Amplified Outdoor HDTV Antenna: I easily installed this antenna via roof mount on a mast connected to the chimney. Total feet off the ground is at 30-35 ft. Great reception in this area of San Mateo , CA. While I'm high on a hill, I'm also in a small valley. It has a nice modern design and was easy to install. I receive more channels than I did with previous old aluminum antenna. Now I can run on my treadmill in the garage and watch TV! No Kidding, this product worked out great for me.

Comments about RadioShack® Amplified Outdoor HDTV Antenna: I am using this antenna in San Juan Capo, CA. AntennaWeb said I wouldn't get any reception because the towers are 55 miles away and there are terrain issues at my address. This antenna brought in 71 channels. I have it mounted about 15ft about ground on the side of my house. It's worth well worth the money.

Comments about RadioShack® Amplified Outdoor HDTV Antenna: I live in a moderate-density area (Santa Clara - 95051), and use HDHomerun TV recievers. My signal reception appeared to degrade over the summer. I attempted to improve conditions by replacing the classic outdoor "fishbone" antenna with a newer, larger, but similar design unit (Antennacraft Colorstar C490 HDTV/VHF/UHF/FM Antenna). I also added a 10db antenna amp (Bidirectional Cable TV Amplifier, Model: 15-2505). The antenna was mounted on a pole about five feed above the top of a two story house. But no matter how I positioned the antenna, there was always one channel for which reception was poor, and would at times not be tunable. I decided to give one of the newer design HDTV-specific antennas ( RadioShack Amplified Outdoor HDTV Antenna, Model: 1500257). The smaller form factor is a huge win. Was able to install this in my attic, not out in the elements. Directionality and positioning of the coax cable connecting the antenna to the recievers was key, but in final position, I get the reception improvement I needed to pull in all channels on my list. It was a pleasant surprise to get the best results from the smaller, more convenient antenna (with a built-in signal strength amp) as opposed to the large, unwieldy fishbone antenna and separate signal booster.
