I have purchased these batteries twice. The first time I used them they lasted me 14 months of constant use. They still worked decently after that long but I just wanted to get some fresh ones. I use them every day, at least 4 hours a day, 7 days a week (I'm a hardcore gamer), in my wireless xbox 360 controller. Fresh they last me about 4-5 days on a single charge. After a year my old set lasted about 2 days. I bought them with the 4-6 hour battery charger (23-786).

I bought the batteries and the charger specifically so I could use it on my wireless keyboard. The first time that I tried to recharge the batteries, they stopped working. By the way, the first time they did not last for that long. Terrible product, made me lose my trust in Radioshack, as the salesman guaranteed me it would have a long life and it would be perfect for the usage that I needed. Do not buy this product under any circumstance.

We tried these for the kids Leappads to save money on batteries and to be more earth friendly. They power down quickly and we nearly broke the Leap pad getting them out. When we held them up to a normal battery they are ever so slightly taller and they are a real pain to get out of the device.
We will be looking into another option.

Have several sets of these batteries and they work GREAT for me! Don't know why people have trouble with them but to each his/her own!!

These batteries simply do not hold a charge. If I fully charge them, then set them aside for a few days, they lose up to half their charge. When I use them in my wireless mouse or keyboard, items that take very little power, they drain so fast I have to charge them again after as little as a few hours of use. They are worthless and I'm stunned Radio Shack would sell such a bad product. I thought I was helping the planet but now I'll be throwing these away and buying alkalines.

I use these for my portable scanner and they seem to last about 4 hours. I have a major problem with charging them using the car adapter. As soon as the lights turn green on the charging station, I remove them. These batteries become so hot, they actually leave your hand red. A child will definitely get burned. Not a very good product at all. Also, this is my second set. The first batteries burst after using for a month.

I use "AA" batteries in my SLR and take approx 250 photos at each daily QA/QC inspection. I rotate 3 sets of 4 batteries. These batteries don't make it through an 8 hour day. The previous sets were purchased at the same time as the camera 3 years ago, and slowly decreased in efficiency. Of the 12 enercells I purchased in October, 2 would not take a complete charge comming out of the package, and the others don't last 2 hours or 100 photos without failing to power the camera. I see rave reviews in the column for this product, but in my experience the product was a waste of time and money.

Purchased to use in my Logitech wireless mouse. After 3rd month, won't operate this low power device over 2.5 hours. If you want everlasting use from "rechargeable" batteries, you should consider "Precharged Power" type NI-MH batteries for this type of application. I am truly dissapointed with The Shack for even carrying this type of junk. For years, they were known as the "Battery People". I'm afraid those days have gone by the way of the Edsel.

I bought two sets of these. One with the rapid charger and the other with a 6 hour charger. The bad news is that after 3 months the faster charger stopped charging my batteries. I was able to charge the batteries with the slower charger for a week, but that stopped working too. The lights indicate that the batteries are bad. ALL OF THEM. So I tried charging them in the built in charger on my baby monitor and it worked. It's a hassle but it seems that the my batteries are fine and the batteries charge up well with normal capacity. I may try to buy another brand of charger and see if that works.
