Poor audio quality

    Comments about RadioShack® Earclip Headphones:

After my ancient Sony Walkman headphones finally stopped working, I picked these up to get sound out of my Samsung MP3 player. Disappointing! The packaging claims wide frequency response, but these phones sound tinny to me. They certainly don't match the quality of the old Sony phones. These phones might be OK for listening to ballgames on AM radio but not much else.

      Comments about RadioShack® Earclip Headphones:

These are the only headphones I can find that work with my small ears (by the way, I never knew my ears were small until it was impossible to find a style of headphones that fit). I can't get an earbud to stay in my ear, and every other "over the ear" style headphone, even the adjustable styles, were simply too large to stay hooked to my ears. These are adjustable for a wide variety of ear sizes, and they are comfortable and lightweight. I rarely have an issue with them falling off during my outdoor runs. I probably buy a new pair every 1.5 years, and never because the sound system malfunctions. Rather, the silicon cushions eventually fall off and are lost. This product would be even better if extra ear cushions were included. Thanks for making an almost perfect product, RadioShack!

        Comments about RadioShack® Earclip Headphones:

I use these while jogging, hiking, and walking the dog. They have good sound, particularly for audio books. Their greatest asset is that they fit comfortably and snuggly in the ear, and stay in place while exercising. They don't last forever, but then that is true of all lightweight portable headphones, and at $9 these are a great value.

          Comments about RadioShack® Earclip Headphones:

These headphones had sound on par with Sony Earbuds (the ones that come in a plastic cylinder, metallic color + black rubber), which is the best, in my opinion. Believe me or not, I don't care.

The hook that comes with these is a bit too thin for my liking, it's too short, and though it extends a bit from the top, it wasn't enough to make the earbud fit comfortably for me.

I dunno, if you have small ears you'll be fine.

These are great headphones for the price. They stay put while I'm jogging without blocking out traffic noises like the in-ear headphones (which is much safer). I have smallish ears and these fit me perfectly.

            Comments about RadioShack® Earclip Headphones:

Bad sound (might be 8 Db at my ear) in one headphone with Media Player, great in the other. Had to move Media Player's balance all the way to -100 (left ear - -99 isn't enough for balanced sound), raise the computer volume settings to max, & raise Media Player's equalizer by 12pts across the board just to have a good experience (effectively 40 Db in both ears - though 0 Db at 2 inches). If both earpieces were fully functional, these would be a great value. As it is, I think they are merely ok.

            Comments about RadioShack® Earclip Headphones:

I purchased this back in February after reading the overall good reviews, however I really should have looked at the not so good reviews as well, as my experience was similar to those that also had issues with these headphones.

First, the sound of these headphones is good but not great. Also, there may have been a coincidence but I noticed my FM radio signal would go in and out and the sound was very low, and I enjoy listening to my radio in addition to my mp3s and videos, while I'm out and about, so that was dissapointing. However I was SMART enough to add on the .99 cent warranty to these, and decided to just give these a chance.

Well three weeks later, after both ear bud covers came off (and they come off very easily which was frustrating), and then one of the ear buds itself came off (the part that covers the speaker), I returned them, and received a replacement thanks to the warranty. Well two months later, my replacement has also fallen apart to the point that it no longer functioned, and luckily because of the warranty, I received a gift card which I will obviously use to buy a brand new pair of earphones. So moral of the story, buy these at your own risk and definitely with the .99 cent warranty.

              Comments about RadioShack® Earclip Headphones:

Don't waste your time with these headphones. Buy a better brand that lasts longer.Product lasted less than 2 months with very light use before losing a tip, and are now off to the recycle bin. The headphones don't come with replacement tips, so once their gone, you're out of luck (unless you're okay stuffing a cheap piece of plastic directly in your ear while you work out). The guys at the store were less than helpful - suggested I should have bought an extended warranty (really? on a ten buck pair of headphones?) - and could only suggest I throw another six bucks to buy replacement tips... for headphones that only cost [$] in the first place.

              Comments about RadioShack® Earclip Headphones:

My ears are kind of small, and earbuds/headphones simply fall off of them, so it took a lot of searching to find an earclip style that wraps around my ears securely enough that they don't fall off. For me, these small earclip headphones are perfect, I use these on a regular basis and plan to buy another pair! If they only came in other colors, like green or blue, they would be completely perfect!
