      This detector by far has been the worst one I have ever owned. Though it does detect radar, it usually alerts when the cop is well within visual range. I would not even recommend this detector to my worst enemy! I don't know what the other reviewers on this page expect, but this detector definitely did not live up to my expectations.
      If you are looking for a "real" radar detector, I would say to look at another brand.

      It is good to have it when your in large cities but when it comes to smaller ones it is useless it gives false readings and gets frustrating, it does not go off when there is a cop around and you will get a nice hefty fine.

      Even though it does give a few false signals at least that let's me know it's still working because the [$]I spent on this was well worth it. It has saved me plenty of time from getting from point A to B, and saved me from many speeding tickets.
