Comments about RadioShack® 8"" Flat Coaxial Cable:

Designed for breach via existing windows. Most window screens will need to be removed while in use. Windows closed and sealed adequately in several tested scenarios, including crankeout casement style. Overall an excellent tool for either temporary installations or permanent installation where there is limited stress on the connectors. Also, best suited for locations and situations where limited access to the window is acceptable; wouldn't plan on opening and closing the window regularly post installation. Obviously there are signal and shielding trade-offs when compared to standard round cable in drilled breach installations. However, this is an entierly useful and acceptable solution in many scenarios where standard installation is not appropriate or feasible. Would likely not work well in doorways, etc. where there is continual wear opening and closing, etc. Great tool for what it's designed for and useful enough that I keep one in my kit.

Comments about RadioShack® 8"" Flat Coaxial Cable:

I was simply connecting this cable with another coax cable of mine, and I was using the proper 7/16" wrench to ensure the connection was solid. Within a split second of reaching relative tightness, the entire connector on the flat cable just pulled right off. The cable consisted of a tiny wire inside a thin vinyl insulation with clear plastic connections between the wire and the coax connector. The wire snapped right off at the plastic. Don't waste your money unless you have no other options.
