Comments about RadioShack® AM/FM Stereo Headset Radio:

Was looking for a pair of medium quality headphones that were comfortable for occasional personal use. Didn't need noise-cancelling or anything super expensive. I compared a few sets and these happened to be on sale plus they had the AM/FM radio built in which was a major selling point for me. I can privately listen to Sirius over FM anywhere in the house. Having worked for RadioShack several years ago, I remember these were big sellers, especially for racing events, and with good reason. This is my first pair. I can tell you they're great. The digital tuner works very well, the battery life is good, and the sound quality is great. The AUX input is what allows them to be used as a set of headphones. No batteries required for this purpose. Entire sound spectrum is heard in great clarity, especially songs with particularly detailed acoustics. Bass shines through nicely. They are quite comfortable to wear as well because of the padded ear cups. They are not at all noise-cancelling, however. There are others that sound better, but if you're looking for a quality set of headphones that aren't too expensive, sound really good, want the bonus of an AM/FM radio, and don't mind the large ear cups, this set is a keeper.

I work in a very crowded office and could not handle hearing everyone else's phone calls and conversations. This headset radio is excellent at blocking out all the office noise. I love it! Reception and sound quality are great.

Comments about RadioShack® AM/FM Stereo Headset Radio:

This radio headset is pretty awesome - as i write this review the price for these is $50 bucks - which i think is a fair price. I asked for headset radios for christmas - and i received a pair of tekk 3m from my girlfriend and a radio shack pair from my dad. The 3mm tekk looked better and i thought the radio shack pair looked cheap. However the reception on the tekk 3mm sucked and the radio shack proved to be the better of the two. I like the you can pre-program 10 stations for am and 10 for fm. you can simply flip to the next station when a show goes to commercial break.

my only negative comment is that triple AAA batteries don't not last that long and anyone listening to radio everyday would be well advised to buy some quality rechargeable batteries - minimum would be four rechargeable AAA.
Oh - and these will fall off if you bend over to tie your shoes - oh and they look lame - which if you are over 40 years old you shouldn't give a rat about. for a gift - for someone under 40 years old - they probably wouldn't be secure enough to go out in public with these on. For an out of shape forty year old dude like me who isn't scamming on the chicks - there great. what do i care if people think i look like a dork.

Comments about RadioShack® AM/FM Stereo Headset Radio:

There are not many options anymore for headsets that have the radio built into the headphones. Had three Sony Walkman Sport models before I bought these. I'm on my second Radio Shack headset as the first one had a battery draining problem when the radio was turned off. In all fairness, this was not a problem for the first several years I had it until I got caught in a rainstorm while running. Also, I took a couple of spills where the radio went flying off my head and it still worked fine. If it were to be redesigned, I would like to see the volume control in a different place as it comes in contact with my jacket collar and the volume changes whenever I turn my head.

Comments about RadioShack® AM/FM Stereo Headset Radio:

This is my second pair trying to get these bulky headphones to work. Whenever I turn them off they drain the battery! I've also had problems with other error lights but they are so so frustrating. They are extremely bulky and heavy. But unless you take the batteries out after every use they will be dead when you try to turn on next.
