Comments about RadioShack Antennacraft® HDView360™ Mini-State® Antenna: After deciding to do away with cable, I first tried an indoor antenna - good but got only 17 close local channels. I decided to put up an outdoor antenna, and selected this mostly because it would not look unattractive from outside. I first put it in the attic to test out and immediately doubled the channels received over the indoor antenna. Finally put it up outside last week. I am now getting 47 channels - some as far away as 80 miles. I live in Greensboro NC, and am receiving channels from as far away as Roanoke, Va and Raleigh NC. Comes with 60' of cable, which was not enough for the routing to my TV, so I had to purchase cable to complete the job. I did route the signal through a splitter and am able to watch everything on my bedroom TV. All this at a cost of only 2 months of cablevision. I am delighted with this product. The tuning feature of the antenna makes it simple to change to faraway channels which require redirecting the antenna, but read the directions closely on memorizing channel locations.

Comments about RadioShack Antennacraft® HDView360™ Mini-State® Antenna: Wasn't sure if I'd recieve any stations using this as an indoor antenna. I live in a basement apartment in the allegany mountians. Several hills and valleys are between the tv broadcasting stations and me, the stations are located 50 miles away. I was very sceptacle this would work out here. Radioshack said I could return this antenna at a store location if it didnt work for me..I hooked the antenna up, ran the auto scan for cannles, and my TV found 12channles. 'Wow' It may not be as many channles as the other reviews, but for my location I found that to be awesome. I recieve the channles I was hoping for + more. I had concerns about this powerful antenns causing interference with my townhous neighbors dish systems or other electronics. There were no conflict. I did find that when using wifi I had to move to the other side of the room, the wifi signal did cause interference in the antennas signal. easy fix on that one. It will pay for itself in no time. Its relocatable too. I am soooo happy,YEAY!

Comments about RadioShack Antennacraft® HDView360™ Mini-State® Antenna: This antenna system is FANTASTIC. We live in a very rural area in the southern tip of Illinois, with local area broadcasters scattered in every direction, ranging from 25 to 60 miles away. I was able to receive a STRONG signal from all of them with beautiful HD reception. Some of them broadcast in VHF and others broadcast in UHF, and this antenna gets all of them. Beware of other antennas out there that are UHF only or VHF only-- you want an antenna that gets BOTH. Some claim they are both UHF and VHF, but they are not. (Some UHF antenna makers even claim they get VHF, and technically they do, but just very poorly!) Also, with other antennas out there, you may have to buy an amplifier for the signal, a cable, and possibly a "rotator" system to move it if necessary. This system INCLUDES an amplifier, a rotator system (the antenna inside the white housing has a motor that rotates it to 16 different positions), hardware, and even a 60 foot antenna/controller cable. (However, it does not include a J pole for various outdoor roof or eave mountings, so if you need that, purchase it as well. I did not need it.) I was afraid that I would need to put this on the roof on a pole, but even when I first tested it on the kitchen table I got good reception. (It is pretty small and compact for an antenna this powerful, only about 21 inches in diameter, and under 9 inches thick, and the manual says you can even put it on a top closet shelf in an apartment and get good reception. I didn't try this, so I can't confirm.) I decided to try it in the attic first before the hassle of outdoor mounting. In addition to the bracket for pole mounting, it also comes with 3 little metal "legs" that you insert in the bottom of the unit so you can just set it on your attic floor, and that is what I did. (Actually, I set it up on top of a big cardboard box in the attic just to give it a little extra height as well.) No "J" pole or any other hardware was required, and I got fantastic reception right from the start. Down at the TV, I was able to rotate the antenna (using the remote and the little reciever box that the antenna/control wire connects to) to home in on any particular channel for a REALLY strong signal, but I was also able to experiment and find a position where all channels came in at more than 80% signal strength, which is still VERY strong with a beautiful HD picture. I guess that means I really don't have to rotate it from now on, but I have to say that being able to rotate it using the remote at the TV saved much time and aggravation trying to find the best position in the attic. (I didn't have to climb up in the attic over and over, rotating a little, and then climb back down to test everything, etc, or have my wife scream from the living room while I tried adjusting things in the attic.) I pretty much just plopped it down on the box in the attic and then experimented at the TV with the remote. There are 16 different antenna positions, and I found two that got great reception on all the channels. Finally, it pays to do your homework ahead of time, and here are some things that helped me decide what to buy: For good, basic info about antennas and digital VHF and UHF signals, [@] For a list of all the towers and broadcasters near you, use the following link. You can type in your address and it will list and map all the channels that you should be able to receive, what signal strength you should expect from them, and whether they are UHF or VHF (High "V" or Low "V"). The map also shows you what direction they are from your location. [@] I would also recommend downloading the user manual and reading it as well. (I downloaded it from this site). That way you will have a good understanding of how to wire it up (VERY simple), how it works, etc. The manual is concise and well written, and is in real English, not crazy translated English. My only complaint is that there is not a picture of the "legs" for the antenna showing what they are or where they get inserted, so it was not clear to me at first that they were the 3 little metal pieces, but I figured it out pretty quickly.Bottom Line:FANTASTIC product, VERY easy to install, easy to operate, GREAT reception. Yes, more expensive than other antennas out there, but I got everything I needed in the box, with no extras to buy. It seems that these days, you get what you pay for, and for me, this is worth every penny.

Comments about RadioShack Antennacraft® HDView360™ Mini-State® Antenna: I purchased this antenna after trying three other antennas from Radio Shack: 1. Small rectangular grey amplified antenna (worked pretty well for an omnidirectional but you are stuck with the fixed location without the ability to fine tune it); 2. The lower end unit of this one that is omnidirectional (worked ok but must say not as good as the small rectangular one); and 3. A large UBJ55 with amplifier that I set up in my attic (only pulled in 3 channels and unfortunately did not want to mount it on my chimney due to the fact that it is a restored historic home).

Comments about RadioShack Antennacraft® HDView360™ Mini-State® Antenna: This is the best antenna than ever have had not just by the excellent and stronger digital reception, besides by the internal rotator, controlled by the remote control, which allow me to get all full power local stations in the Orlando area and even tv stations from Tampa Florida. I install the antenna outdoor over the ground, using two long electrical pipes of ten feet near from my living room, so I could run the sixty feet coaxial cable inside the artic until where I have set the television. I catch up to 50 channels including several tv stations of Tampa and spanish networks, like Telemundo,Univision, Telefutura, LATV, Estrella Tv, V-me and Enlace. If you don't use to watch a lot tv and want to save money in any television provider, this is the antenna you want to get.

Comments about RadioShack Antennacraft® HDView360™ Mini-State® Antenna: I did my research and made my decision on this one. It works extreamely well. I live in Concord NC and with the antenna in the attic, it picks up 30 channels at night and 27 in the day time. Also love the fact that it is made in the USA. I have other Antennacraft products and know 1st hand how good their quality and customer support is. Recently I was very impressed how Antennacraft handled a problem that I had and want to thank Cindy at Antennacraft. The bottom line is made in the USA, Quality and perfect customer support is very important to me. As I continue to rescanne at different directions I may find more channels. Had this antenna now for two weeks and scanned four times. Thanks Antennacraft.

Cons Best Uses Comments about RadioShack Antennacraft® HDView360™ Mini-State® Antenna: This antenna is great. I do not have cable so I was not able to receive a lot of stations, but with this antenna I receive a lot more channels with clarity. If it does get flimsy I just use the remote to rotate the antenna and it helps. If you do not have cable and receive poor reception I would greatly recommend this antenna. It is a bit expensive but worth it.
