Just received the Alarm units.
The Ad stated that you need 2 AA Batterys per unit.Once I saw the size of the units, I knew this was wrong.The units come with 4 357 button batterys.Also the battery test button is not the button looking thing on the front.The test button is inside the battery compartment.

I realize these are cheap----but
Also much to my surprise, If an intruder triggers the alarm ,he can stop it by simply closing the door or window. This is not how an alarm system should work. No alarm should be silenced by simply reclosing the door or window.
This Item should not be advertized as an alarm because in reality it is only a warning system.

great item. its surprisingly loud. for [$] im not sure what some people expect out of a little item. its not a full alarm system with megaphone and flashing lights. : ) i bought for the door chime feature so i know if the little ones try to open the door. i would give it a 4.5 out of 5 simply because i wish there was a volume control feature on the door charm. I have high ceilings so it echos throughout the house. installation couldn't be any easier. you would have to be an idiot not to be able to figure it out. it also gives you plenty or lee-way if your molding and door are not exactly flush. about 1/2inch. fyi the batteries are not AA like noted. it would probably cheaper to buy a new pair of alarms than replace the batteries.

I use the item on my front door to let me know when someone is coming in or out. I works just fine. How long it will work is unknown but I suspect it will last a fairly long time. The item is inexpensive and for the money it really does a nice job.

Was under the impression this would be much louder than it is. Also, unless your doors are a perfect lineup, install can be frustrating. Only comes with one piece of two-way tape, so get it right the first time or you are off to the store for more. For the price, they are fine.

I had to purchase a door alarm for the permit process for our backyard swimming pool. This was a great find and easy to install.

Our purpose in buying this was to use on our sons bedroom door (so we know when he's up and roaming around). Works good for this purpose, loud enough to hear at night on the "chime" function. Great price[...]

I have two autistic grandchildren and the alarms help their father keep track of them. Prior to getting the alarms one of my grandchildren got out of a locked door without his father knowing. Happily he wasn't harmed but the potential was great. These alarms give me a bit of peace of mind knowing that dad will be made aware of their activity.

Installed this product on our home sliding window and doors. Easy to install and reliable. Alarm isn't loud enough to alert neighbors, but good for early warning of intruders.

This is a good alarm but there is no way this alarm is the 120 decibels that is advertised. A police siren is around 118-120 decibels. This alarm is not anywhere close to that. I would like to note that there is no remote, so be prepared to scare your pets if you open the door while you are away. You will have to manually shut if off. However, it is loud and cannot be beat for the price.

My business uses this to monitor the doors that should not be used. It is loud and works great. Does not take AA or AAA batteries....small round batteries are included.
