Comments about Antennacraft HDTV Indoor/Outdoor Universal Mount Antenna:

I cut the cable over two years ago (now having saved over $1900 -- thank you very much!).

A huge issue in my area is that we have both UHF and "high" VHF digital signals. I have purchased several of the flat indoor, rabbit ear style, and a couple of outdoor powered antennas. NONE of them could pull in that darn VHF channel.

This one mounted right on my old satellite mast -- with a little jury rigging. Thirty minutes later -- I hooked it up to my HDTV, rescanned the channels, and EVERY channel came in at MAX signal strength.

          I couldn't be happier!

Comments about Antennacraft HDTV Indoor/Outdoor Universal Mount Antenna:

So, I knew i had to at least go into the attic to get anything. Tried one place and got a couple channels, went a little higher and got a bunch more. Then went to the very peak of the attic. That got me I think 27 stations on 10 or 12 Channels.

Everything I could reasonably hope for except for fox. I'm thinking about going on the roof to see if i can get it that way.

Pulled in that one pesky channel...

Comments about Antennacraft HDTV Indoor/Outdoor Universal Mount Antenna:

I had been using the RCA indoor amplified antenna which could not seem to pull in one pesky channel (4) once we moved to more of the outskirts of town. Gave this a try, understanding that I could easily return it if it did not work. Thankfully, it pulled in the channel perfectly, and that was indoors. I'm still on the fence if I'll go to the bother of mounting it outdoors. I just wish it had a stand or something for indoor use.

Yes, you will need to buy a cable. I'm not sure why people rate the performance of this unit on the fact that it does not come with cable. In all my searching I did not find a single outdoor compatible antenna that did.

3rd antennae from Radio Shack. Store manager was clueless and was frustrated when I returned the antennas that her store recommended. Went to another store and they were great. Really pleased that I didn't give up. The reception is perfect!

Was assured that this would solve the problem with our poor reception. Most signals are are close to my apt, but one isn't. We were told this would get in that station as well as some others that didn't come in reaiably. It wasn't any better or worse than the one we are using. We are on a fixed income so cable isn't an option and even buying this one was almost a budget breaker. It may just be where we live, others seem to have had sucess with it. We are returning

Comments about Antennacraft HDTV Indoor/Outdoor Universal Mount Antenna:

For living in a city, there are surprisingly few nearby TV stations. So be it. My first floor apartment makes blocks out TV signal pretty efficiently. It tried a smaller, more basic, and more low-profile TV antenna but the smaller antenna did not pick up any channels. This one picks up all of the TV stations within the advertised range (35 miles). Granted, it's not a lot of channels, but that's not the fault of the antenna. I like in concept that it can be used as an outdoor antenna, but as an apartment-dweller I'm not able to use it as such. The wall bracket is nice and goes up quickly and easily.
