Comments about Monster® Monster iStudioLink Instrument Connector Cable:

This works great for me. I have only used it on my mac with Garage Band and the only thing you need to do, besides plug it in, is change your Input from the Built-In microphone to the Built-In Input. Then you are set to go record your guitar or microphone that you bought separately.

      Will this work with iSplitter

Comments about Monster® Monster iStudioLink Instrument Connector Cable:

The product works first time when plugged into my iPad 2 GB.

Unfortunately I could not hear my guitar and the iPad 2 metronome consequently cannot get the timing right.

      QUESTION for Monster Cable:
Will an iSplitter work fine for me? I need to hear the metronome in GB and of course I need to hear my guitar. With the iSplitter I assume that will sovle my problem.

I want to know before I buy the iSplitter. Has anyone tried it before?

Comments about Monster® Monster iStudioLink Instrument Connector Cable:

People have complained that this doesn't work because Garage Band doesn't see it in preferences. I found the same thing, but realised that it was because I had plugged it in after I had already opened GB. To get it to work, plug it in before you open Garage Band.

Good value for money if you want to record your electric guitar(s) without spending a fortune on audio interface hardware.

Comments about Monster® Monster iStudioLink Instrument Connector Cable:

This is the same as any 1/4 to 1/8 adaptor, though with (hopefully at this price) above average build quality.
There's nothing clever about it, it's a wire with contacts at either end, wrapped in plastic.
It's not bad, but it's not good either.

Works as promised. Total plug and play with my Mac. Just plug in your guitar/bass/keyboard then open GarageBand and you're set to go.

First, make sure you open your Sound control panel and make sure Line-In is selected.

Tons of info on web about getting this done. Just Google it.
