A strong wind moved our dish on its mast. I tried most of the morning to tune it in with no results.(hd much more sensitve to tune in then old system) I called the other sat. company and was told it would be nine days before a tech. could align the dish, and because I had tried to align the dish there would be a additional 49.00 charge for "tampering"! Within five minutes this little meter tuned in the dish with great numbers, thank you Radio Shack.

my Mounting post is installed out of vertical. I would like to make it vertical, and re point the dish. It is located very close to the drive.

It is using the Ka band. but the LNB should be putting out signal that I should be able to watch while I straighten the Mount.

Just trying the satfinder out for now. I would have liked to put it in the line, and keep it there for reference. Warning that the signal is dropping so I could turn on some ice heaters, and tweak the dish back if it should be hit.

This device seems to work OK. I would like to use it as a monitor. $40 is better than $350 it call the installer back to fix a job that should have been done correctly the first time.

Easy to use satellite signal finder. I used it to peak a couple of multi-LNB antennas and it was the only way I could get them peaked. With multi-LNB antennas it is almost impossible to find the satellite just by using the receiver. This will save you headaches as you will probably find the right satellite, but be locked in with the wrong LNB. Cover all but one LNB and peak the antenna.
