Product Summary

Ding dong.

This wireless door chime works as a doorbell, a remote pager, or a panic switch. Both entry chimes can add an optional sensor that alerts you when someone walks into a room. The three-position channel switch helps prevent other transmitters or radio devices from sounding the chime. It is simple to install since it requires no wiring and operates on easy to find "AAA" (transmitters) and "C" (receiver) batteries.

  • Operates as a doorbell, remote pager or a panic switch
  • Hang bell around your neck, alert other people in your house if you need assistance
  • Add a doorbell or chime anywhere without the hassle of running wires
  • Different alarm sounds for each of the 3 channels
  • Get up to 75-ft, transmission range

You'll also need

  • Transmitters each require "AAA" batteries (3)
  • Receiver requires "C" batteries (3)

Comments about RadioShack Two Bell Wireless Door Chime:

I picked up 2 of these so that I could solve the problem with not being able to hear my doorbell in my basement with the TV on. In hind sight, I could have used just one set because the remotes have 2 rear connectors so that you can have them trigger the original doorbell circuit if you want. I would have gotten two anyway because I have an old house and hate the original doorbell that came with the house. I have one unit centrally upstairs mounted on a wall, and the second unit in my basement using the kickstand on one of my coffee tables. I mounted both "sender 1"s so that I could use the same doorbell chime for both my front and side doors. Range is great for me. Senders are mounted outside my front door and outside in my breezeway. Triggers both speakers simultaneously through brick and walls 40+ feet by using the same channels.

I installed the door ringer in a secret location hidden from view on our porch. ONLY those allowed in our house were provided with the secret location. Common household friend were the only users. All other nuisance solicitors, and strangers used the door knocker. No more UH OH? who's at the door now...Love this device.

Comments about RadioShack Two Bell Wireless Door Chime:

This product is way overpriced. You have to use a ding dong very dated sound..think Pong, and part of a song (there is no place like home) which sounds horrible for each button. In other words, door 1 is ding dong, door 2 is the song. These are fixed and non adjustable. There is NO volume control on the base unit. And it is loud, very loud.

They are extremely easy to install and the included lanyards for each doorbell switch can be tied to bells for the immediate assistance mode. People can carry the remote around for a one way pager within about 75 feet of the base. There are 3 channels for each bell.

Comments about RadioShack Two Bell Wireless Door Chime:

This unit works well, but would be better with:
1.) plug in capability for the main unit
2.) ability to change the bell sounds

As to the comments about the screws made by previous commenters, I would have to say that RadioShack has listened to your complaints. There was no need to unscrew anything in the one I received.
