One reviewer is incorrect about the UK plug configuration. This adapter exactly fits the UK receptacle, matching others I have.

I needed a grounded receptacle for overseas computer use, since they all have grounded plugs.

It is also useful in that the female (receptacle) side accepts a variety of plugs, including US standard and grounded, and Euro Standard plugs.

UK adapter has incorrect prongCheck Google for 5 adapter pictures side by side[@]There are 5 adapters and Radio Shack's is different.

I couldn't tell from the specifications if it was exactly what I needed to replace the part from a Radio Shack set of adaptors. I didn't want to pay for the whole set to replace the one lost. I found this with some dificulty on Radio Shack's website. Hope it's the right part, but I won't know for sure until next time I travel.
