When there is no fuse, or a blown fuse, voltage still passes through the holder via the LED. On a 24 volt system I was able to measure 15 volts passing through the fuse holder with no fuse! I understand why this is happening due to the LED shunt circuit, but a fuse holder should NEVER pass voltage without a fuse in it! I took it back the next day for a replacment, but then the replacement also tested the same way. Anyway, to make a long story short, I tested it using an alternate way and found that my original one was good. The LED does light up and overall I believe I got it at an excellent price compared to anywhere else. Good solid quality product.
