Has worked fine for building circuit kits and soldering jewelry. Can take a while to heat up. Love the light that shows when the iron is plugged in. The rest that comes with the soldering iron is difficult to use.

I have used this product once since I bought it, I used it to replace the convergence chips on a t.v, and the job turned out great, but the tip seems to have melted. The good thing about this product is that the tips can easily be replaced and I can find them at my local radioshack. Overall it is a great product it's compact,and light weight and it's perfect for any kind of job.

Smoked at bit at first but calmed down after use. Light is nice to remind you it's still on.

This is a perfect kit for a first-time user who has very basic needs. Includes all the pieces you need for your first soldering project. In that sense it's worth the price (cheap!).

However it's slow to heat which will frustrate a more avid user.
