I had to replace a soldered in battery that was corroded from old age. I decided to purchase the battery holder in case I have to replace the battery again.

The holder's connections didn't fit the solder points on the TB-626 circuit board so I had to change it up a little to make it work. I completely removed the negative contact from the holder and soldered it from the inside hole of the holder. I positioned the Positive contact onto the ckt board a soldered it in place. When I placed the battery in to the holder, it held in place and made contact to the circuit with no problems.

Solder not sticking to pins & melting plastic? Those aren't the products fault.. Neither is it being the wrong size for a specific 3rd party application...Measure before you buy..Come on. Both of these gripes could have been avoided by simple knowledge and common sense. The product fits the specified battery, provides a strong connection, and its dimensions are correctly reported on the packaging. Perfect.

Don't be fooled by some of the other reviews. This will not fit into an SNES game. I cut off the bulky plastic on the bottom of the holder. I flattened the clip as much as possible. It still does not fit.

Good product, just not for replacing a battery in an SNES cartridge.

I have used quite nearly a hundred of these holders to replace lithium batteries in Super Nintendo/Nintendo/Genesis cartridges. Although they can sometimes be a bit on the large side, all you need to do is pop off the little "feet" and then trim to desired thickness. Once you solder them in, they're there to stay. They have made my life so much easier. Highly recommended.

With the proper thinner battery (CR2025) it works just fine. The CR2032 is a thicker battery and will not seat properly or make good contact.

Solder doesn't stick to the two terminal pins. Plastic part melts easily. Too bulky.

Nothing to a product like this... it does work just fine... However, this clip is unnecessarily bulky in design, the plastic feet, and the case fully encompasses the battery... why? I'm replacing game save batteries in cartridges and can't close the cartridge back up after putting the holder in. There are products out there that are sleeker and shallower that are better.

It'd be really hard to screw this product up. I needed a low profile battery holder to fit inside SNES carts. This is actually still a little too tall, but I was easily able to modify it to fit. It works as it should, like I said, it'd be hard to screw this up.

I needed to replace a hard to find CR2430 with solder tabs to a common cell that was easy to replace. The battery holder matched the standard hole pattern on the circuit board. Can use either CR2032 or CR2025.

I used this product to replace a soldered in battery for a transceiver's channel-data memory. The dip-pin configuration results in an overly high case. I was able to fold over the pins and attach wires to the bottom of the holder. I then insulated the bottom with tape. It ends up a little crude but got the job done without having to seek out a tabbed battery or worse overheating the battery while trying to solder it in place.
