    Comments about CHAUVET® NV-F18 18" Blacklight:

    I purchased the Chauvet 18" blacklight to illuminate some Halloween props this year and it worked out perfectly. It did an excellent job making things glow and it held up just fine during our unseasonably cold Halloween. I especially appreciated that it comes with pre-drilled holes and a package of screws and anchors, so mounting it was a breeze.

    There are two things I'll note to others considering this light: First, an 18" light is sufficiently large to give a blacklight effect in its immediate area, but I don't think it would be enough to give a blacklight effect to an entire room, for example. Everything my light was illuminating was within 7 or 8 feet of the light and glowed really well, so I have no complaints. Second, the light comes with a very short cord (about 3 feet). Again, this wasn't a problem for me as I was running an extension cord to power other items anyway and the light's short cord was sufficient to reach the extension cord, but FYI.

    Overall I'm very satisfied and if I need additional blacklights next year I will look for this item first.

    Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
