      On Windows 7 systems, if the driver does not install by itself, then click on the balloon message and change the driver search option to include searching on Windows update. Windows 7 can search on Windows update and install the drivers as required.

        I lost my cable and had to take a chance with this product. It worked great. It was easy to install the driver but you needed to follow the instructions for the device setup. The product allows you to set your own Com port # to make it easy setting up communications.

        With the SEL relays you will still need to use a Null Modem but it works great. You may need to add an additional serial cable to get more length to work from a table.

        I still use Windows XP.

        It did not work initially. I had to install the software on the CD first and then plug it in. It then recognized it.
