Cons Best Uses Comments about RadioShack 1/8-Watt Carbon Film Resistors (500-Piece Value Pack): A very good assortment of sizes that will cover all but the most exotic uses. Of course, these are not precision parts, but if you are just looking for a decent quality resistor for your project or for a repair, these will fit the bill. If you need more power handling, the Radio Shack 1/4 watt is similarly excellent.

Comments about RadioShack 1/8-Watt Carbon Film Resistors (500-Piece Value Pack): GREAT VALUE! I bought 2 of these and they haven't disappointed yet! Great performance, with consistent resistance and only with 5% tolerance. Great quality even if they are made in Korea, no doubt.

Comments about RadioShack 1/8-Watt Carbon Film Resistors (500-Piece Value Pack): Absolutely amazing value. I bought one of these a few years back and I haven't ever had to buy more resistors since then.

Comments about RadioShack 1/8-Watt Carbon Film Resistors (500-Piece Value Pack): As a biomed specializing in technology compatibility and interconnection, I often need small resistors of odd values to validate certain designs. This pack offers a broad range of values with some of the odd-ball choices I need. The only down side is I'd like to see more of the off-value resistors. Of course, offering a 500-piece pack with resistors of a 1% tolerance would be absolutely ideal for my line of work. Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about RadioShack 1/8-Watt Carbon Film Resistors (500-Piece Value Pack): This is the best set of resistors radioshack offers for the price, but there are a lot of random values that I'll probably never use. A pack of just 100, 1k, 10k, 100k or even just 1k, 10k would be very nice.

Comments about RadioShack 1/8-Watt Carbon Film Resistors (500-Piece Value Pack): This is a good assortment of just about every common value of resistor, from very low values (some 1-Ohm resistors) up to a few megohms. They do include thirty each of 1k, 10k, and 100k -- but with more and more digital circuits, I would suggest Radio Shack consider including an additional hundred 1k resistors or so, since they're used very frequently in digital circuits. Still, it's definitely a good buy. Great for experimenting (and teaching about Ohm's Law), too.
