Comments about Make: Raspberry Pi Starter Kit:

Well, On sale so pulled the trigger + got 3 $10 for every $30 Coupons, so really pretty fair deal.

Note that my kit had and improved enclosure and 2 solderless bread boards one a full size one and one mini unlike some other buyers.

Everything to get up and running, 10 min just add a wireless USB dongle keyboard mouse.

Liked the book but a little elementary, lots of jumpers and components to start playing Good job RS. Not a bad value if you add all the included parts and book. Keep those sales coming.

Comments about Make: Raspberry Pi Starter Kit:

While this is more expensive than the $35 dollar (depending on how long your willing to wait) board only option, you get everything you need in this kit to get started and more.

When I first attempted to load the OS, there was a write failure to the SD card, but this is most likely due to attempting to power the device using USB from my computer (not enough amps). Once it was powered from the included power supply, I had no issues.

While there are some other options that have faster processors, they are a little more complex as the pi guys made setting up the OS very easy. With the fan base of this product, there is also ample of support to be found in different forums and blogs.

Dare yourself into getting into some low level systems programming without bricking your costly PC!
