Comments about RadioShack Electronics Learning Lab Kit:

As an electrical apprentice in college, its my study guide, exercise kit, practice until I pass out. Invent stuff. As close as you can get before working with high voltages . Very nice and not as expensive as I expected. Thank you guys. this was right on time. This is what I remember Radio Shack for...those components. The included books and excercises jumps right into it and keeps me warmed up for when Its time to wire an industrial panel in class. No lie, believe me...looking at the other kits and packs so I can expand. I need a case for this now and the components will go in my carrying case that will come with the component pack 2. Great for the kids and hobbyists too..this is for my job though. Its beautiful. Peace !

Comments about RadioShack Electronics Learning Lab Kit:

Rather than dealing with various different parts such as power supplies, breadboard, components such as potentiometers, relays, etc. strewn across your workspace, this provides set voltages, an ammeter, relays, diodes, variable resistors, etc. all in one case. In addition, all parts required in the "experiments" are also provided, so you don't have to go hunting for them.

It comes with two manuals: analog and digital. The manuals could be much better IMHO. First, there are a few places where steps are missing. But the main drawback is there is very little theory, it's just one project after another. Purchasing a simple book with an introduction to basic electronics would go a long way to making up this deficit.

Also, you probably want an electronic multimeter that reads current, voltage, resistance and capacitance (esp. capacitance, because the caps aren't all that well designated).

All in all, definitely worth the price as it presents a compact workspace for projects beyond those in the manuals.

Comments about RadioShack Electronics Learning Lab Kit:

I think this is an amazing product! Before i ordered this i look at the workbook (.pdf) and i thought it was a difficult book, but it's not. The only thing you might need to learn is the basic. If you don't have a clue about electronics, i suggested you look at "Getting Started In Electronics" by the same author, which can help. Anyways, i think this product is helpful for me to go further in electronics.

Comments about RadioShack Electronics Learning Lab Kit:

This was a gift for my 11 year old son. He instantly was able to begin building from the very well written manuals(2 of them). The introduction to electronics, terms, components, and diagrams is excellent and the projects that follow do a nice job of demonstrating electronics and concepts. I like the layout and build of the unit. Better than comparable units at higher prices.

This is a great learning device but. I purchased a book in your store "Make Electronics" I wish the information and parts for experiments were interchangeable. I am just at the beginning and it is wounderful. I am enjoying both. I use the kit to set up experiments from the book "make: Electronics" thanks.

This is the best new design for anyone into electronics, new or old school,
like me, at 54. I started with the 130-in-1 kit back in the 80's. And I still have
it. But this one, is to hard core kool. Buy now and save. Have fun. RobS 54...
