I just recently purchased my second Green Laser Pointer, and I must say, these things are a blast! They are in fact significantly brighter than standard red laser pointers, ad in the dark, the beam is in fact visible! A lot of reviews cast doubt on the quality of the laser, but it is a metal body with a thick rubber grip and the button is very well built, and overall, the device feels very sturdy. The laser does flicker now and then, but usually that is a sign that the batteries need to be changed, as the laser consumes 5mw of power. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my purchase, and I will definitely be back for more in the near future.

I just recently purchased this laser, and it outshines any red laser. At <5mw, it produces a powerful green dot, and the beam can be seen in the dark! I have experienced some flickering and slow startup at times, but changing the batteries seems to solve that issue, as the laser does use a lot of power. The button feels sturdy as does the body. Overall, this was a smart purchase

This was the best price point green laser I could find at the time. After 18 months of use, the button that turns the laser on decided to lose its detent. As a result you could simply pick up the pointer and it would come on. The switch failed. Looking for another to replace it, the best I could find other than another one of these was in the $150 price range. Not very happy with this product. If I buy another you can bet I will buy the extended warranty.

Was in a hurry and I needed a laser pointer for an important presentation, so I bought the RS pointer. Had it for one year. It worked well for that presentation. But became intermittant after that, now doesn't work any more.
It was over a year ago, and in a different city, so local RS manager won't even consider exchange.

Does RS sell junque and have a bad attitude? Pick one.

I bet they won't post this review, or even give me the courtesy of a call back.

This green laser pointer, from RadioShack, is versitile yet simple. With it's <5mW power output, it blows away small compitition red "laser pointers." since green light is 20% brighter, to the human eye, than any other color. this laser pointer is a good upgrade and at a great value.

Save your money!!!!! I bought this product with the hopes that since it was associated with radio shack it would be a quality product. I was greatly mistaken. The laser was intermittent and would turn back on only after shaking it and adjusting the batteries. I was able to exchange it and I had the same problems with the replacement. Do yourself a favor and don't buy this laser.

Had this laser for just over two months. Stopped working one day. Went back to the store and they wouldnt give me a exchange. Claimed only had 60 day warranty. Shame on you radio shack.

I bought this to use for teaching university lecture classes. I teach about 9 hours a week, and within 1 week it would only work intermittently. Several times during each class I have to take it apart and remove the batteries. Every time I hold it up to point at the projector screen, it dims, and sometimes it goes out completely. It's great when it works, but that's only about 10% of the time.

I just bought this laser and it is very bright for being <5mw.
