Comments about RadioShack® 6"" Modular IC Breadboard Socket:

This is a very good breadboard that is so much better than others of the same size that are available from online vendors. Inserted components feel very secure and the contacts are well-aligned with the component holes. I don't know who makes them, but these creamy-yellow colored ones seem to be the right ones to buy.

This is too over priced. I have contacted WISH([@]) for a list of prices. Hereit is: WBU202: [$] and WBU301: [$]. So you can get it at much lower prices at [@]

Comments about RadioShack® 6"" Modular IC Breadboard Socket:

Unfortuniately, RadioShack has discontinued the good old breadboard that I'd previously purchased. I thought this would work as an extension but it doesn't because the edges that should clip together are different. Also, this one adds another power/ground row to either edge, but the grounds on either side and VCC on either edge aren't connected together like they should be! To top things off, this no longer matches the "matching" solder-on breadboard Cat#276-170.

I want the old design back!

Unfortuniately, I have to recommend this because RadioShack did away with the better alternative...

Comments about RadioShack® 6"" Modular IC Breadboard Socket:

Well-designed and expandable, simply add more breadboard modules.
Well indexed for transferring circuits to RS item# 276-170, for more permanent circuits.
Price is a bit higher than other retailers, but otherwise, a all-around good product for the price
