Comments about Interactive Toy Concepts Neptune Helicopter:

This was exciting to try for the first time. That wore off quickly. It uses an Infra-Red controller, so while you are concentrating on controling the helicopter, you also have to remember to keep the controller pointing in the direction of reciever or you lose control. It's easy to turn on a dime, but if you want to turn more gradually, you have a very narrow window when you move the stick from not turning at all, and turning quickly at 100%. The speed is very slow. It would fly straight up about 3 times faster than it would fly forward. I just timed my flight from one end of my front room to the other. My front room is about 35 feet long, and it took about 30 seconds to fly from one end to the other at top speed. It's possible the unit I have is sub par but I was dissapointed with it's performance.

Comments about Interactive Toy Concepts Neptune Helicopter:

This has turned out to be a lot of fun for our family - the parents as well as the 13, 11 and 9 year old. We have challenges that involve trying to land the heli on increasing smaller targets: furniture, phone books, CD cases, etc. My biggest worry was durability, but this is not an issue. It has survived 100 crashes, several that were severe enough that I expected a fireball, and the Neptune is still going. The gyro stabilization feature makes it much easier to fly than those models without. After some practice, it is very controllable, the most difficulty is that when you descend to land, it gets thrown about a fair amount by its own significant propwash. I didn't care much for smartphone app, though the constant prop velocity feature is helpful. The controller makes for more fun flying. The 1 downside is the battery - you'll only get about 5-6 min of flight time, and then it will require a 20-30 min charge.

Comments about Interactive Toy Concepts Neptune Helicopter:

This helicopter is VERY durable and well thought out built with lots of metal parts. Two examples of the durability are the main rotor blades are made to rotate/flex if they hit anything during flight preventing damage, the main rotor gears are enclosed in metal so they don't pick up hair or grind on anything in the event of a crash.

The only down side is that this helicopter is controlled by IR not by wireless. This means that the controller has to have line of site to the helicopter (usually something you're going to want anyway with RC) but if something gets between the remote and the helicopter it will likely fall from the sky (usually not too big of an issue since its so durable).

Very fun to chase kids/cats, and see how small an area its possible to land on.

Considering buying another one to play with while this one charges.

Comments about Interactive Toy Concepts Neptune Helicopter:

Pretty fun, only two batteries and then usb rechaging for both copter and the dongle. Working well, nice small copter. I am glad for less batteries. I have crashed it and it seems to be a decent quality build, just try carefully and enjoy!! There is a learning curve to these!!

Comments about Interactive Toy Concepts Neptune Helicopter:

Its a nice little helicopter. Simple to control. I would rate the helicopter a 3/5.

The "Smart Phone" feature doesn't work that well. The nice feature is that it allows you to set in and leave a power setting. You can simple just set it 3/4ths the way up and let it hover all by itself. I would rate this feature a 2/5. It could be a bit more intuitive. Tested with both Android and iOS.
