Comments about Dantona 10V 1200mAh Motorola MT1000/MTX800/MTX900 Battery:
I needed some new batteries for the MT1000 portables used by my wife and I. Radio Shack was one of the last places I expected to find these, but there they were! And, they appeared to be color matched to our MT1000's. Almost all of the MT1000 batteries you find online or [@]are black in color.I ordered one battery to check it out. Had it delivered to a Radio Shack store to save shipping cost since I drive by there on occasion anyway. Was a little bit of a hassle getting the people in the store to find it on their back shelf after it arrived, and also to convince them I had already paid for it (they thought I was supposed to pay for it again??).The battery itself is well built, and quite solid. I cycled it a few times through use, and have to say this battery far exceeds my expectations! It will run the MT1000 for over a day and a half. If we're not doing a lot of transmitting, it will go 2 days. Just amazing. The Motorola brand battery doesn't work that well. The voltage stays up right to the very end, so you always have full power output. These batteries work just fine in the Motorola fast charger, and the slow one too.The only drawbacks are the price is a bit steep compared to other sellers online, etc. Although, who knows how well the online batteries will hold up. The other thing is the color match isn't perfect. These batteries are a little bit more "green" while the MT1000 is more dark grey. But, it's better than a black battery hanging down there (doesn't bother me though).Have only had the battery for maybe 7 months, and have only cycled it maybe 15 times, but will see how long it lasts overall. From what I can tell, it should outperform the Motorola OEM batteries hands down.
