I had purchased similar adapters to this one from other online places, and this one from RS has lasted the longest for me. I'm cautious though to purchase another one because it may not last as long. Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about RadioShack 2.5mm to 3.5 mm Cell to Stereo Adapter: I looked awhile for an adapter that would work with my Lg Octane. After doing some research I found that I needed a 4 conductor to stereo adapter to use my headphones with my phone. This will not work with headphones that have a mic incorporated into them, it is only for music not for calls. I don't know how long this will work (all of these adapters seem to wear out easily) but it works now.

Best Uses Comments about RadioShack 2.5mm to 3.5 mm Cell to Stereo Adapter: I bought this a couple of hours ago. It only gets mono. I try to wiggle it to see if it'll get stereo, but stereo comes only when it's really loose. It's not worth the money to have.

Best Uses Comments about RadioShack 2.5mm to 3.5 mm Cell to Stereo Adapter: It didn't work properly right out of the box. My left headphone didn't to receive the signal so I returned it and same thing happened. Don't buy! DON'T SETTLEEEE! Pick up some decent bluetooth headphones!!!

Best Uses Comments about RadioShack 2.5mm to 3.5 mm Cell to Stereo Adapter: I have now had 2 of these go bad on me after about 6 months to a year of use, including months of frustrating use during which the cable has to be moved around just right to get the sound to work and it gets steadily worse. I keep a cable in my car with this adapter plugged into it for playing music off my phone over my car stereo. All I do is plug the adapter into my phone when I get into my car. I leave it hanging from a nook above my stereo, so perhaps the weight of the cable on the adapter is too much stress for it, but I expect more durability than this from a tiny overpriced cable (bought at about $12 in-store).

Comments about RadioShack 2.5mm to 3.5 mm Cell to Stereo Adapter: RS clearly needs to provide better technical info on their products. I was about to buy when I found out the jack is stereo(3-pole)with a clearly obvious 4-pole 2.5mm plug. The only way to find this out (besides going to the store with an ohmmeter in hand)is to call and get a datasheet from the maufacturer.

Best Uses Comments about RadioShack 2.5mm to 3.5 mm Cell to Stereo Adapter: I read the reviews on here and after finding out that so many people had problems with this, I decided I'd bring some headphones to the store and try the adapter out first. I'm glad I did because it doesn't work with the LG VX8360. I will say that the store was very helpful in letting me try it out, so I appreciated that.

Comments about RadioShack 2.5mm to 3.5 mm Cell to Stereo Adapter: Works great with the Samsung Rant. My phone is plugged in to my car stereo and it sounds awesome listening to MP3s and Podcasts. Without this adapter my setup wouldn't work since Samsung likes to install the 2.5mm jacks on their phones. Unfortunately the price of the part is [$]. It's overpriced and should only cost maybe half as much for such a small item.
