I bought this to replace a previous Clarity phone that broke after a few years use This phone works similar to the other, but has the large photos for speed dialing which I like. The problem is for my Mother at 95, she can't see even these fairly large photos. Another issue is the amplifier must be switched on for EACH CALL. My mom often hits the wrong switch right after answering a call. I wish this phone spoke the digits as you dial like the other phone did.

I have a 90 year old mother who has some hearing and vision problems. This phone made her so happy because the ring tone is loud. She doesn't have to worry about remembering or dialing the numbers she regularly uses because they are all programmed in for her.
I found it very easy to program. The spaces for a photo are also big enough to write in the names of the people most important to my mother.
The voice quality is very good.
This is just another way for me to feel confident that my mother can reach help quickly and easily if needed.

We are using the phone for a person who just had a mild stroke. Dialing numbers is difficult at times, and being able to just punch a picture of the person she wants to call is very effective.

It's too large and has too many unneeded features; but it's better than Radio Shack's other amplification phone.

I purchased two of these phones for my recently widowed 86 year old father in-law. His hearing is poor, vision failing and he is illiterate. I was able to print small pictures of each of his children and place them on some of the large speed dial buttons. This really helps. He also can hear much, much better than with his previous phones which is terribly important during this tough time in his life. He loves the phones which makes us very happy.

I purchased this phone for my 85yr old Mother, who is hard of hearing. She can not wear hearing aids while on the phone, and often, leaves them off due to comfort.
This phone has been more than a blessing for her! The volumn control and the amplification button do work, and they don't add noise to the conversation. Mom was thrilled with the amplification feature!
The next best thing, was the fact she can have names on the speed dial number!
I can't tell you how many wrong numbers have been dialed before this phone! We used white paper with large printed names, no photos, so she could really see what she was pressing. It's worked beautifully!
The large buttons are also nice. Mom says it makes it really easy to see and to get the right number. The phone before was very small and she often misdialed.
Everything about this phone is easy to use, easy to set up and works perfect!
My Mom has been very happy with the phone, and even talks about it to her friends!
I would highly recommend this phone for anyone, but especailly for someone like my Mom who has some problems hearing, as well as seeing.
This phone will give them more freedom than you might think about. We without these issues, often over look how one simple phone can change a persons life for the better!

I bought one of these for my mom who has trouble hearing. Initially the phone worked well and she could hear. After about 6 months, the amplifier stopped working so she can't hear anymore. I opened the back to see if there was a broken wire or something and found the build quality is horrible. Looks like it was built by a bunch of 6 year olds in China.

Great design, with big buttons and nine memory numbers. Amplifier works very well, ring is adjustable. Very nice phone but handset (earpiece) too small for many elderly people, including my Mom, who had me send it back. Otherwise a beautiful phone, but she just couldn't get comfortable with the earpiece.
