Comments about Cobra® Cobra® 75 WX ST Remote Mount CB Radio: great price for something so compact to use. I put one in my 1998 blazer cause my full size unit wouldn't work well in truck. bought this and was easy to mount and had only one problem and that was the fuse it self, replaced it with an in line blade fuse instead. works like a charm

Comments about Cobra® Cobra® 75 WX ST Remote Mount CB Radio: Tested this at a cross country bike race. It failed to reach the other side of a two mile circular course where my handheld amateur radio was talking on less power over a distance of 50 miles.

Cons Best Uses Comments about Cobra® Cobra® 75 WX ST Remote Mount CB Radio: I bought this radio 4 years ago as a temporary when my Cobra 29 fried. Ended up being my primary radio. I drive an 18 wheeler into demolition/construction sites and needed a sturdy radio that would take a beating. This one does. Reception is great, output equals that of my 29, and the NOAA channels are an added bonus (especially running the snowbelts of northern NY). My runs took me into Canada occasionally and I would get the Canadian Commercial Mariners Forecast Codes (MAFOR). The speaker is a bit weak, but add an external speaker and this will solve the problem. I have the radio mounted in my car now (switched companies-they have radios in the trucks) and the NOAA Channels come thru loud and clear even without an antenna hooked up. Have recommended this to several people. Easy to transfer from vehicle to vehicle by purchasing extra connector boxes. One radio several vehicles.

Comments about Cobra® Cobra® 75 WX ST Remote Mount CB Radio: Decent unit, small unit for small mounting area. Mostly use when travelling outside of my city. After 10 years, transferred it to new vehicle (2 years as of this posting). Only problem, on board speaker of this one-hander is directional, sound too weak when on the hook, too loud when in my hand. I compromized by adding a small external speaker on the floor.

Comments about Cobra® Cobra® 75 WX ST Remote Mount CB Radio: Bought this unit to use while RVing. Chose it because mounting places in my Dodge are nill. This unit is small and mounts just about anyplace. That is about it though. Poor reception. Poor range. Took it to two CB shops and they gave up trying to trim the antenna and blamed the radio. I put it in the console and forgot about it for a few months. Then I tried to return it. No dice. Can't recommend at all.

Best Uses Comments about Cobra® Cobra® 75 WX ST Remote Mount CB Radio: i bought this cb to install in a 2006 chevy malibu for highway use, and the box fit easy under the fuse kick panel, and paired up with a radio shack glass mount antenna works as good as a cobra 29 ltd.

Comments about Cobra® Cobra® 75 WX ST Remote Mount CB Radio: The radio works fine, albeit short on range. I think I have average sized male hands, and this thing is hard to hold and operate at the same time. If you use it enough, I suppose you might get used to the location of the various control buttons. But as a casual user, I spend a lot of time with my eyes off the road and on the various control buttons. Also, the cord insulation began to get hard and peel off after four years of use.

Comments about Cobra® Cobra® 75 WX ST Remote Mount CB Radio: This is the second Cobra of this type we have owned...the previous one was sold along with the motorhome it was attached to. Bought it primarily for traffic/weather info on trips.
