LED; some LCD letters abt 4pt font - terrible.
Programming AM/FM: Documentation not specific enough; had to figure it out on my own.

FM reception not nearly as good as the unit it's replacing using the same antenna without changes although I do like 30 program settable stations.

No way to find a specific station without a manual search for it IF you know the freq. Make a list of the stations & call letters you program; you'll need it!

I bought the receiver over a year ago. After using it for about 3months, It started shutting off on me. Now when ever i turn it on it shuts right off can't keep it on to play any thing. that was a waste of [$]. Does any one know why it does that?

I bought this 2 year ago on Black Friday and have it on a shelf in the garage with a cd player connected to it. It is pretty durable because it's exposed to all kinds of temp and humidity changes and it fires up everytime I turn it on. I only have a 300 ohm wire for the fm and it pulls in a lot of stations. It has never given me any trouble.

First of all, tuning the FM/AM section is inconvenient. The remote has a numeric keypad so one would assume a given frequency could be entered directly without scanning the band. Sadly the keypad is for preset tuning.

Other than this flaw, the unit is, for the price, very sweet. Using Jensen loudspeakers (floor-standing) and they aren't starved for power. Very good gain and phase linearity. The tone circuitry seems clean, but easy to bypass if necessary. Have auditioned everything from solo piano to string quartets to "System of a Down" and for my use (small apartment) this is excellent value. Haven't brought out the Mahler 2nd yet, but I'm sure it will do just fine. Compares favorably to a Marantz integrated receiver I purchased in the 1990s, and about 1/4 the price.

Just don't lose the remote!

This is a piece of junk. I bought this in January and it worked for several months, then it starts shutting off. Since I bought the extended warranty, the receiver was replaced. It worked for several months and then started shutting down when I connected my satellite radio boom box to it. I plan on trashing it.

I bought this product last year and it only worked for about two weeks then it just stop working.Maybe it was manufacture malfunction but i am not happy with it.

I got this as a Christmas gift and and it was very easy to set up but not designed very well. It was cheap and I just thought, well it'll get the job done. After a few months of light use, it will no longer go louder than whisper without shutting itself off. Waste of time/money.

I use this product in my room while being connected to all electrical devices that I own. All the other reviews that I have read are completely wrong in the fact that they are not watching wattages and how they have it hooked up. One thing to be carefull of is where you put it; It needs a large are to breath because it takes up a good amount of space. I have had mine for about a year now and I surely love it. If you are looking for a nice stereo with a budget of round 100$ (not including cost for speakers) than this is the system to get. Im was 15 when i bought mine because I have a steady job and installed it easily without resulting to the manual once. I would recommend it to anyone who is out in the mnarket for a decent stereo this is completely for you. It has a good amount of inputs for the sound i just wish it had some video slots. But thats fine because the tv has that well covered. I hope you purchase one and enjoy it as much as i have mine. [...]

after 3 months casual use this receiver when you turned it on it shut right back off luckily I purchased a 2 yr extended warranty. I got the same receiver in return so we'll see what this one does.
