It's a cheap alternative to buying a new phone (because I am lazy). This is my second battery, seems to last about a year only, but I am hard on my phone. My phone is the old "brick" style and it's good for entertaining friends - they always laugh when I pull out my "antique" cell phone. I am the last one laughing since theirs doesn't work in the elevator! Old cell phone = better reception sometimes.
