This is not a quarter wave antenna that most mobiles use, it's not much more than a walkie talkie antenna.

Travel use and can be easily transported for use on different vehicles. Had more expensive antennas that did not work as well as the Cobra 21 so I purchased two.

Been using CB radio for 30 years and ham radios for 20 years.
I have had to buy approx 20 Mobile CB antennas over the years.
The smaller ones usually don't get any highway distance. The larger ones are a nice flag to criminals that a CB radio and possibly more items are in my car.
The first day I connected it to a cheap, very cheap, low sensitivity, mobile CB. Within a few minutes was hearing transmissions from miles away. I was amazed.
I wouldn't leave home without this antenna connected.
I am amateur radio operator and wish I didn't sell my 10 meter radio, because I really want to try it now on 10 meters. Radio shack used to sell awesome Amateur Radio Equipment, but the ham antennas were low quality. I sold my old and extremely durable 10 meter Radio Shack radio because of the lack of good-small mobile antennas. Wish this existed a while ago.
It's nice to pull into the garage and not hear an antenna scrapping the garage door.
Radio Shack needs to get back into Ham Radios again also. I miss the old Radio Shack stores which had lots of equipment in stock.

If you are looking for a decent CB antenna that will allow you to drive into your garage, then this is it. After you tune it the SWR's are around 1.5. This is great for a low profile cellular look a like CB antenna. More then adequate base magnet.
I am completely satisfied with this product both in price and performance. Thanks Cobra, you still got it!

This radio worked good until the SWRs sky rocketed past 3 and fried my favorite radio!

This thing is great. I wouldn't listen to the other reviewer about getting 100 mile range. As far as SWRs go this thing was perfect out of the box. I it was around 1.2 on all the channels. I have managed to get it to go 10 miles easy and still keep a clear signal. Overall a great antenna if you don't want a bulky one.

This is my first antenna but i was able to tune it pretty easy with my swr meter. But it came already perfectly tuned. No need for adjustment. I have the Uniden Pro520xl. It picked up a signal from 100 miles away and was able to talk to them also.
