Comments about Koss KTXPRO1 Stereophone Portable Headphones: The KTXPro1 headphones by Koss are the best headphones I have used other than my Sennheiser HD485 headphones that cost five times as much. The sound is excellent in all areas if you make sure the volume slider is above the minimum. The sound fades out a bit on one side if the slider is turned down too low. If I had to pick out the weakest part of the sound spectrum on these headphones, I would say it's the bass. The bass is quite good, but it's never going to be as good as a pair of around-the-ear (circumaural) headphones. For the price, these are definitely 5-star headphones. The only reason I give them 4 stars is because, in my experience, Koss always leaves the cord so tangled in the package that it never straightens out the entire time I have the headphones. The cord on this pair is no exception.

Comments about Koss KTXPRO1 Stereophone Portable Headphones: I received these as a used gift from my sister earlier this year. I must say, they sound absolutely fantastic despite the fact that she had owned them for several years prior.

Comments about Koss KTXPRO1 Stereophone Portable Headphones: Taken off the head strap these headphones work great listening to my XM radio mounted in my helmet. On line forums show many others use these same headphones vs the pricey ones sold for motercycles.

Cons Best Uses Comments about Koss KTXPRO1 Stereophone Portable Headphones: These Headphones used to be the Radio Shack Titanium Pro35's but I guess Koss bought them out once they stopped selling their own Brand of Headphones but these things can Last forever and all you'll most likely have to do is get more Ear Foams Bcuz you're gonna wear them out, they may not be noise Cancelling but The Bass, Highs, and Mids are wonderful! I compared them to my cousins "Beats" and he was amazed, the only difference was they don't cover your whole ear but as far as sound Quality they were giving them a run for the Money! By the way I still have my Titanium Pro35's and they used to be $45.00 so you guys are getting a Steal!!!

Comments about Koss KTXPRO1 Stereophone Portable Headphones: My office recently moved to a cubicle environment and some of my co-workers get very distracted by ambient noise. Listening to music greatly helps me focus, so I needed headphones to listen to music and computer audio without incurring the wrath of co-workers. However, I didn't want to shut out the world; I'm one of those people who actually thrive with a "buzz" of activity. I need to hear my phone ring and I want to hear conversations/noises near my cubicle. Finally, I didn't want to spend a lot of money on headphones that I'd be afraid to leave on my desk. After reading a lot of reviews, I settled on these and they fit the bill just right. I love music, am a musician myself and have a good ear. These may not have the sound quality of high-end, high-priced headphones, but they sound fine. I plug them into my iPod nano for music listening (including the iPod live radio feature - these headphone wires work fine as the "antenna", just like the iPod-supplied earbuds), or plug them directly into the computer for computer audio. The in-line volume control is very handy and I use it all the time. The cord is plenty long for my needs; the headphone port on my CPU is only 36" away from my head. I do have an 8-foot computer speaker cable (Radio Shack item 4202492) on order so that I can place my computer port right next to me, or move around my cube with the headphones. These headphones are perfect for what I need and I am very satisfied with them.

Comments about Koss KTXPRO1 Stereophone Portable Headphones: After about 6 years or more use the foam earpads collapsed and tore. I found replacements and in 5 minutes they were installed easily by me. You just have to pull the phones apart and fold the new ones over the rim. Snap themm right back on and good as new. Cheap too.

Comments about Koss KTXPRO1 Stereophone Portable Headphones: I was glad to see how many others have been using this series of headphones for years! I started using them back in the late 90's when they were black with a leather-like headband with metal support strap. Wish that design was still around. It seemed sturdier. I noticed the last pair had the Koss logo on the plug and that's when I realized Koss made them. I currently just killed my second pair of these that I bought 8+ years ago. These used to be [$], I waited for the [$]r sale of course. Tried many other headphones over the years and nothing has beat them! My latest Pro35a's lasted over 8 years and finally one side quit playing but I'm extremely rough on them. They aren't the most attractive I guess. Especially this model's blue band but oh well the sound quality more than makes up for it. Perfect lows and highs mix. Too bad they're not sold in stores!

Comments about Koss KTXPRO1 Stereophone Portable Headphones: Amazing sound from a headphone that first appeared 20+(?) years ago at a price around $50!!! I use to buy when they had 1/2 price sales. Now they're only [$] - all I can say is wow.The only real issue is the cheap foam ear-piece: it's uncomfortable after about an hour of listening, and it tends to come out of the plastic housing easily, but I've learned to live with it, 'cause they sound so great!
