I looked for a pocket radio in a local Radio Shack and they had a bulky one for 19.99. I went on line and ordered CX-71, unsure if it was what I wanted. It turned out to be perfect for what I wanted. A radio to take on wlaks with our dog !

i use this when i walk daily. it's hard to tune in the station. once you get it tuned, it stays. it was working ok. this week the stero ear phone on one side suddenly developed static or just does't work at all. my local rs wanted to sell me a 12.00 headhone set. go figure

Dont waste your money, Can't get reception and this item is junk. Get a Sony, 1000 percent better.

Use it for walking, listening to the game. One ear phone started dying after the first hour of use. Loose wire.

First, this came in that too common defiant plastic packaging that requires metal shears to open. After considerable fumbling, I got it to work--once. No go thereafter. Instead of returning it, I trashed it, went to local Radio Shack & bought, for around $40, Radio Shack AM/FM Stereo Headset Radio which is easy to program and has all the features I wanted. Lesson: You get what you pay for.

The radio itself is great - very lightweight and easy to carry around in my pocket. Unfortunately there is no speaker on this radio - just two earplugs that won't fit in my (apparently small) ears... [...] I used an old single earplug that works fine.
