The antenna snapped right off the first time I tried to attach it. It's also impossible to program, the menu won't unlock despite following the instructions to the letter.

              Comments about Uniden® BC75XLT 300-Channel Handheld Scanner:

This scanner was purchased for police scanning, & it doesn't at all. It is useless to me. Very unhappy, but couldn't return or exchange because it was a xmas gift & my 30 days were up! Guess I should have given the present in Nov. when I purchased it. No type of exchange was offered, just it is past your 30 days. No more purchases for me at Radio Shack

              Comments about Uniden® BC75XLT 300-Channel Handheld Scanner:

Software programming was easy. Banks are selectable on the fly. Powers from USB in car and uses car audio and mag mount scanner antenna through BNC connector. Great value for price. Weather and other scan ranges are useful. Programming from front panel not recommended.

                  Comments about Uniden® BC75XLT 300-Channel Handheld Scanner:

This thing needs space for 4 AA batteries. 2 AA Batteries give this a runtime of about 3 hours, then it runs out. This should not happen on a handheld scanner.

Good for at home or mobile use. Very nice and loud speaker sound high-quality like a real two-way radio. One of the best handheld scanners if you don't need 800mhz/trunked/digital.
