Comments about Thermaltake 120mm Fan (Black/Red): I have this fan installed in my "gaming" rig that I use for both pleasure and business. I have 32GB of Corsair Vengeance RAM, and the Phenom II x4 965 processor overclocked to 4.1GHz, so my system builds a lot of heat. Along with gaming I also use my computer for work (graphic design) so it is always under extreme stress. After installing one of these fans along with 4 Thunderblade 120mm blue LED fans (for effect) -also sold by Radio Shack- my computer maintained a steady 51C after 24hrs of Prime 95 testing. These are just great fans that move a lot of air!! I see different people saying they make a lot of noise. This just isn't true. I have 5 total 120mm fans and they all just make a nice low humming noise. If your fan is making a lot of noise you don't have it installed properly. It must not be seated or secured properly to the case.

Best Uses Comments about Thermaltake 120mm Fan (Black/Red): Bought this fan in an emergency when one of mine failed. I'm not a fan of sleeve fans as they tend to fail quickly in my environment but this one has lasted for over 2 years under hard use. It is noisy by todays standards. The long screws with nuts can be difficult to install inside a tight case but that can be fixed by using some surplus fan mounting screws. I was pleasantly surprised by the durability of this fan.

Comments about Thermaltake 120mm Fan (Black/Red): This fan is way louder than advertised, i'm going to return it and get a different one. Noise usually doesnt bother me too much but this fan is rediculously loud. If noise isn't a problem for you it does move a ton of air and is great at cooling, but i cant stand how loud it is.

Comments about Thermaltake 120mm Fan (Black/Red): Does it's job and does it well. Not loud at all. For those who say it is loud...well you must not know enough to make sure it is not directly attached to the case. You need some rubber between the fan and the case, otherwise since the fan is running at full throttle IT WILL without a doubt vibrate causing a ton of noise that can make your ears bleed. I have 5 of these in my gaming rig, along with the thermaltake Frio heatsink(an additional 2 120mm fans) and it only makes a barely audible hum.

Comments about Thermaltake 120mm Fan (Black/Red): I have an intel i7 950 processor with a water cooling system. I wasn't happy with the core temps this system provided due to the single fan output.

Comments about Thermaltake 120mm Fan (Black/Red): Hardcore overclocker (phase change) This is one of the best 120mm fans I have used. Excellent cooling with minimal noise. (given the CFM flow) I also now use these in a watercooled rig as well.

Comments about Thermaltake 120mm Fan (Black/Red): This fan is so frikin loud. omg. im gunna shoot myself. i have a fan controller running these fans. 100% of the time i keep these fans running at 50% fan speed cause its so loud. and even at 50%, its still loud. OMG

Comments about Thermaltake 120mm Fan (Black/Red): Most 12CM fans average about 30-50CFM, these boast almost 80CFM which isn't amazing in itself. I have these installed in Push Pull with a Corsair H50 CPU cooler. The difference between two 50CFM fans and these has been a staggering near 10C. I would love to say these fans are noisy but it seems that most of the noise from my case is actually air turbulence rather than vibration and thats going t be different with ever PC case.
