Comments about RadioShack AM/FM/Weather Tabletop Radio:

This is my first review of a Radio Shack product and I wanted to let potential buyers know that this a great product. I live in Tennessee, equal distances from Nashville and Murray, KY. I like to listen to FM public radio stations in Nashville and Murray. The Nashville station is at 90.3 and the Murray station is at 91.3. Two Sony radios that I own, each is a CD boom box with a digital FM tuner, will not receive the station at 91.3. This radio does a great job of receiving each station. The stations don't drift, even if the radio is left on all day. My only complaint is in the finish of the plastic parts. It could be better. But, at the price that I paid, $29.95 on sale, I can't complain too much.

Comments about RadioShack AM/FM/Weather Tabletop Radio:

Despite just moderate use, the AM/FM switch appears to have a "short", thus the FM band is dysfunctional.

Comments about RadioShack AM/FM/Weather Tabletop Radio:

I bought this radio in Dayton, Ohio, and am very impressed that I was pulling in AM radio stations from Chicago, Nashville and even New York City! The tuning knob is tight which allows for precision, accurate tuning; the workmanship on this device is durable and there are no problems with the sound. I am very pleased with this purchase!

Comments about RadioShack AM/FM/Weather Tabletop Radio:

I bought this so I can listen to Dodger games that are blacked out during the Time Warner-CBS standoff, and also NPRs Morning Edition over breakfast (we haven't had a radio since the 1970s Philco tabletop died). I like that this is analog, so I can dial the stations in (digital is a take it or leave it factory setting). It has very good reception and sound at a fair price.

Comments about RadioShack AM/FM/Weather Tabletop Radio:

I have just purchased my third one. Battery life is incredibly long. Mono is good for me, becasue I live away from strong radio signals. The volume control is failing on one, and soon, most likely another. Crackle. The wire is difficult to cramb into the storage area.

Comments about RadioShack AM/FM/Weather Tabletop Radio:

I picked this up for my elderly dad who was having memory-loss and cognition problems. He loved music, but things with too many buttons confused him. This was perfect. Really just two things to deal with -- volume button and tuning button. And even though he got those confused sometimes, it was easy enough for him to correct himself most of the time. Also a great radio to take outside -- nothing complicated at all.

Comments about RadioShack AM/FM/Weather Tabletop Radio:

This is a great radio. I purchased it mostly for its FM band and it is everything advertised if not more. I live about 60 miles away from the FM station I want to listen to and that station comes in clear as a bell. No other radio I have owned has been able to zero in on a station that far away. Beyond that the radio is smart looking and easy to operate. This radio is a winner in every way. Buy it!

The tuner control is hard to turn like something isn't machined right. Won't work with batteries installed, and I tested the voltage and charge on the batteries just to make sure, then I tried it with a different set still didn't work. A that point I packed it up and it's getting returned.

Comments about RadioShack AM/FM/Weather Tabletop Radio:

I have been trying many radios over a couple years to pull in my favorite FM station consistently. Right out of the box this worked! I have tried the so-called long range radios and they did not work effectively, this is amazing because my station is between two strong stations that would interfere on the radios that would pull it in. This radio has such good tuning that it rejects nearby strong signals and pulls in the frequency you want. The sound quality is awesome, if you use it in an area with lots of noise it gets loud enough without distortion to out-do the noise. Get this radio, you will not be sorry I am seriously thinking about buying another.
