I'm just chiming in with others to say yep, these sure do work. They defeat Ts and Bs utterly, but make no changes to the sound that I can hear.

Comments about RadioShack Windscreen for Standard Microphone Head:

I use these wind screens for the sound system at my shop for announcing and professional entertainment. They sound and look great. Mine have lasted over 5 years and now it is time to replace them. They are starting to fade and tear. Nothing lasts forever. I will buy more.

Comments about RadioShack Windscreen for Standard Microphone Head:

I'm the Chief News Videographer for a small-market CBS/NBC duopoly, and we use these windscreens exclusively in our local news operation.

The wind-reducing performance of these economical windscreens matches that of "professional" products costing up to 10 times more. And, they look great on t.v.

Like other reviewers have stated, they don't last forever, especially when used in a daily newsgathering environment. On average I replace them about twice a year, when they start looking shabby and worn. And yes, they will rip and tear easily if you're not careful.

I also use Radio Shack's brand of windscreens for our lavaliere mics; again, they work just as well as products costing much more.

Comments about RadioShack Windscreen for Standard Microphone Head:

Well I'm a recording artist, and as such I need good quality sound when I record. And when I first got my mic and cut a track I could hear myself breathing into the mic.I tried to just back away at first, but it just degraded my sound quality. So I went to radio shack to find something to help and bingo!,when I brought it home and put it on my mic,it made a big difference.Even if I got close to it my breath didn't penetrate at all.Even people I produce love how it keeps their vocals clean. The only real bad thing I can say about it is that,it will rip and tear if you aren't careful. But you must also remember it is foam. But it serves it's purpose well and I can't complain other than I had to replace already.
