Cons Best Uses Comments about Bounty Hunter Discovery Junior Metal Detector: Good News / Bad News - The good news is that I have lost 20+ lbs, but the bad news is that my gold wedding band is now loose. The bad news is that I lost the ring while winding up the hose in the backyard shrubs. The good news is that the RS Model 1000 Metal Detector helped me find the ring in about 60 minutes of looking! I would strongly recommend this unit but some suggest patience and practice until you get the tones/settings set correctly. GREAT unit!

Sure, I had to thoroughly understood the manual, but afterwards I was happy with its performance; especially for selling at such a low cost. I have a feeling those who gave this detector a bad review didn't know how to operate it properly. All the problems I found with my detector always proved to be me not knowing how to operate it.

I realize this is a childs model but this is a long iron survey stake under a couple inches of dirt. It could not locate the stake. After digging by hand I found the stake under maybe 3-4 inches of dirt. I returned the product.

Comments about Bounty Hunter Discovery Junior Metal Detector: I bought this for my 8 year old son. First we used it at the beach and found many coins that probably fell from the pockets of surfers. I also took them to Fort Clinch and they found a horse shoe and something that looks like an item U shape. It was very sensitive to anything metal so I am sure we would have found lots of junk also if we kept looking. I read all the reviews for this item and all I can say if some of them must have gotten damaged detectors because ours works perfectly. Pros
