Cons Best Uses Comments about RadioShack Caller ID/Call-Waiting ID with Backlit Display: I used the suggestions from others on this site and soldered in a 6v power supply. I used an old power supply from an AT&T telephone dock. Just make sure you have the polarity right when connecting the power supply to the unit. Use a DC voltmeter and it's pretty easy. If you use this unit with batteries, get ready to buy a lot of batteries, because it uses them up very fast.

The old model has worked VERY well for several years. I need something for other phone lines. Unless the 43-3903 is configured for AC power, I will take my business elsewhere.

It works fine. It gives the identity of the caller and the number they are calling from. I am keeping it because it does what I hoped it would.

It was simple to use and nicely lit but thats all. This is the third product I've gotten from Radio Shack that didn't work for long. Usually just after you get rid of the packaging. This is my last purchase from Radio Shack, I'm afraid their stuff is going downhill.

It'll be a washed out display on a pale blue-green background. Increasing the contrast will only result in 888-888-8888 displays.
