Comments about RadioShack 12V/50mA Incandescent Bulb: Needed two of these for lighting in vintage tuner without the hassles of mail order in quantity or eating big shipping cost for two bulbs/waiting, so I ran down to the local RS. Data called for a 12V 100mA bulb but these work fine at 50 mA rating. Fit right in alloted space. Work fine. The leads are stiff but can bend 90 deg. for PC mount if you take care. Cost is a bit high but the convenience factor of close source trumped. Says 5000 hr. lifespan.

Comments about RadioShack 12V/50mA Incandescent Bulb: These lamps work great as replacements for Kenwood TS-520, TS-820, TS-530 and TS-830 Amateur (Ham) Radio equipment. Use the leads from the existing bulbs and this will fit right on the existing grommet.

Comments about RadioShack 12V/50mA Incandescent Bulb: I tried using this on a OEM suzuki grand vitara car stereo display, just too long... I used the 272-1092 instead which worked perfectly!
Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about RadioShack 12V/50mA Incandescent Bulb: These bulbs are smaller than the bulbs on the HVAC unit, but they work well as replacements, and illuminate at the same intensity.
Comments about RadioShack 12V/50mA Incandescent Bulb: Replaced 5 of 8 bulbs on my dash and they worked perfectly. Removed the little base the stock ones were in and bent the leads to a 90 degree angle (be careful, I broke one) then trimmed to fit. Used the existing solder and it was my first time soldering and everything went smooth. Now doing my steering wheel controls that have 2 lamps per unit and I replaced one and put it back together and the other stock one went out! Don't know if it had anything to do with the new bulb but might look into what someone else said and just replace them all while you're at it. Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about RadioShack 12V/50mA Incandescent Bulb: Would have been a good replacement if I could have bent the leads to install into the restricted space in the Sony cdx400.
