9-Position Non-Shielded D-Sub Hoods for 9-Pin and 25-Pin D-Sub Connectors
Comments about RadioShack 9- and 15-Position D-Sub Connector Hood:
None of Radioshack's D sub hoods come with instructions, so here is my attempt to help out:
Once you've got your 9 or 15 pin DB connector soldered or crimped:
1. Bundle your wires together within some tubing, if they aren't already. 2. the two curved pieces are strain relief: Clamp these around your bundled wire, and bolt together 3. Insert the DB9 or 15 piece and bundled wire into one side of the shell. 4. Insert locking screws and shields on each side of shell. 5. Place other side of shell atop the currently assembled shell. 6. bolt together with nut and bolts.
