Great product. Too bad I had to drive to several Radio Shack stores to find 2 pair. The clerks didn't know what a binding post was. They were more interested in trying to upsell a cell phone.

I'm converting an old ATX PSU to a simple bench PSU. I looked around and was surprised to find that these little puppies are pretty expensive. It surprised me when I found RadioShack of all places offering them. So I went to the nearest store to see if they had them and indeed they did. They have a bit of heft to them. Anyway, my main interest was what they were rated for since there are very little details on the site. I looked at the back of the bag they were packaged in and it says they're good for up to 10A at 125VAC. Not as high as I'd like, but only time will tell if I need any more than that.

This is a pretty good binding post, good length nicely sized, and couple of options for mounting.

The MAJOR problem is that if you want to use bare wire through the hole in the post, the biggest stranded speaker wire that you'll be able to use is 20 or maybe 18 gauge, MUCH to small for my liking.

I am using these binding posts for a power supply. They are a nice quality. It was a bit frustrating to find these since they were hiding in the audio connectors section in my Radioshack. I'm a bit disappointed that the online specs say there's
* Nylon Binding Posts - Red (2)
* Nylon Binding Posts - Black (2)
but you only get a 2-pack as the name says.
Overall these are of good quality and they are very nice.

This set of binding posts is awesome. There is no chance of short circuit with these, they are easy to mount if you drill the correctly sized hole, they are easy to use with spade connectors, easy to use with banana plugs and bare wire. Also, very reasonably priced. You will love these.
