Comments about RadioShack 13.8VDC 15-Amp Power Supply: I use this psu to power various chargers for my LiPo, NiCd & LiOn batteries that I use for my radio controlled model aircraft. I frequently use two 5A and one 3A chargers simultaneously in parallel and the unit does fine with this set up.

Best Uses Comments about RadioShack 13.8VDC 15-Amp Power Supply: Bought this power supply to run a 12a dc pump mtr, it doesn't have enought power to keep it running, even though it is rated at 19a continuous, absolutely no tech support at Radioshack. unbelievable

Comments about RadioShack 13.8VDC 15-Amp Power Supply: Amoung other things, I purchased this to power an Optimus 100 Watt 15" sub with a Kenwood 250 Watt amp. I had a 60 Hz hum in the speaker at first. After much trouble shooting I discovered that the outlet had no ground wire in it (old house). Once I plugged it into a correctly wired outlet I had no more noise. The sub would occasionally knockout my bulky old 10A supply, but I've had no trouble with this one. The voltage output has proven more reliable then my old supply which would decrease with current draw. This 15A supply will power three 55Watt automotive lamps (165 watts), with some hesitation when first turned on. My only disappointment is that it lacks the cigarette lighter socket that my 10A power supply has.

Comments about RadioShack 13.8VDC 15-Amp Power Supply: I use this power supply instead of my Astron PS 12A to power Kenwood TM-D710A in low and medium power levels. I am hesitant to use high power mode.

Comments about RadioShack 13.8VDC 15-Amp Power Supply: I bought this for my shack and it trips whenever I attempt to transmit on my radio's high setting. (50 watts). Works fine on lower power settings. I tried my radio on a friends psu (same as mine) and it worked fine, even on high. Looks like I'm going back to the store to exchange this one for another.

Comments about RadioShack 13.8VDC 15-Amp Power Supply: I use this supply tied to a 12 volt car battery to power my Yaesu FT100d tranceiver. The fan is quiet but only comes on if my battery voltage drops as a result of accidentally turning off the supply (operator error !! ;-)

Comments about RadioShack 13.8VDC 15-Amp Power Supply: Shuts down when RF gets into it. Especially true when running improperly tuned cheap CB amplifiers, antennas with VSWR or generating spurs by over-modulating.
Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about RadioShack 13.8VDC 15-Amp Power Supply: Use it to power my LiPo battery chargers. Has worked perfectly for two years now.
