Comments about RadioShack Satellite/TV Antenna Diplexer: Way overpriced for what it is. While it does the basic job of power passing for satellite use, there is notable signal degradation on the VHF/UHF side while the satellite is enabled, which means there is "leakage".
Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about RadioShack Satellite/TV Antenna Diplexer: This splitter has a filter between the two taps; one will pass signals below 900Mhz (all VHF/UHF) and the other above 900Mhz (satellite LNB). It won't work for mixing an outdoor antenna and a UHF output from a DVR into a single cable for TV hookup.
Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about RadioShack Satellite/TV Antenna Diplexer: All the negative reviews are from people too dense to realize that there's a HUGE difference between a diplexer and a simple splitter. This is a very specialized piece of equipment that MUST be used in pairs to function properly. I'm guessing all of the negative reviewers are trying to use one of these by itself as a simple splitter, which it is NOT. When used appropriately THESE devices (note that I didn't say THIS device) work wonderfully.

Comments about RadioShack Satellite/TV Antenna Diplexer: I tried to use this to input an HD TV antenna RF cable with the RF cable from my Dish satellite service. It does not work. I'm going to try an AB switcher. Pros Cons Best Uses
Comments about RadioShack Satellite/TV Antenna Diplexer: Radio SHAFT is overpriced China made junk. They don't sell parts anymore and all they do sell is cell phones. Back in the day, when you bought a Realistic product, aka Scanner, CB, etc, you knew it was good. Radio SHAFT has gone to the dogs. Pros

Comments about RadioShack Satellite/TV Antenna Diplexer: If it worked, it would be worth the $1.50 you pay elsewhere, but it doesn't. Now you know why they have the name Radio Shaft. Pros

Comments about RadioShack Satellite/TV Antenna Diplexer: U need 2 to multiplex and de-multiplex TV and Sat. I run both signals over one coax and get great service from it. Sat in this area has no local ch but I can receive local ch with in attic antenna. 2 diplexers allow me to use one coax to get both signals to the same TV.W/no loss of signal quality as far as I can see. Pros Cons
Best Uses Comments about RadioShack Satellite/TV Antenna Diplexer: You wonder why so many negative comments? RadioShack is charging [$] for a $1.50 part that's why. I'm glad I looked online before I drove all the way to the store for that disappointment. Next time you see a Dish installer on the side of the road, pull over and talk to him/her, if he/she doesn't give you one for free he/she sure as hell will sell you 14 diplexers at the same price RadioShack charges for 1. Or use the online auction site (you all know the one) you can get 2 [...] for under ($10) ten dollars. [/end rant] Displaying reviews 1-10 Previous | Next » |
